I have a question, would it not be wrong to pay tithing if your heart is not in it? So to people that does not have the means but want to pay an honest tithing, would it not be better to pay what you can at that moment and then work towards paying a full tithing? That’s how I started and have been able to pay a full tithing ever since, I paid the difference in later as to what I couldn’t afford in the beginning, I always thought that it is the willingness of the heart that counted with tithing

Just a couple of questions 1 Are you looking for scientific proof for religion in general or just for Mormonism? 2 Are you looking for an answer as to which church is right?

Sorry DS I misread your message completely the first time Now having a talk with God and Him answering you would be wonderful but it would be private between the two of you. I think if you got to speak to the Savior you would not mention it to many if any, try asking an apostle if they have spoken face to face with the Savior! When you got married ( I assume you are married) did you meet your wife the same day you married her or did you meet her first, got to know her better over time, build a friendship got to see what you like and what she liked about you and then got married. With other words first get to know the Savior, talk to him every day three times a day. It sounds like you are saying it is a right to have God speak to you when it actually is a privilege attained only when we have lived a certain way for a long time. Here in is the beauty of this gospel, you are here for a short time to make choices and to take responsibility for those choices and when you let yourself down and you stumble and fall and you confess to your heavenly father and you ask for an answer, the bright idea you get is most possibly God speaking to you .

Very interesting question, I don’t understand much but I think it comes down to doing our Heavenly Fathers will. Let me explain what I mean: When my son grows up and he should be asked if he wants a drink or a cigarette and he answers no and he should be asked why? His answer would determine whether he was influenced by maternal influence or spiritual guidance and teaching. If he would say that he does not drink or smoke because his father taught him not too or that it is against his religion then he would not have done the will of his heavenly Father but the will of his earthly father, but if he should answer and say he does not drink or smoke because he has a testimony, then he would have made the correct choice and the will of our Heavenly Father would be done. Many are called but few are chosen unfortunately many good men and woman will fall away because they just can’t let go of the earthly bonds that bind them and hold them down. We need to remember that people need to submit to the will of God, humbleness and sincerity, these good people are influenced by teachings that teach them that what we(LDS) believe in are false and it is sugar coated with lots and lots of false doctrine about the LDS religion. But this is just what I believe, that these good people will get the chance to accept the truth when they have no bond to this carnal earth, when their minds are not clouded by the mist of deception, they will get a fair and loving chance as long as the light of truth burns within them I don’t believe that they will be lost. Shower these people with your love; let your actions speak volumes about your faith, faith without works are dead. We must try not to judge people and or the situation that we are trying to understand to harshly, rather try and find a common ground that we have in common with these lovely people and build up from there.
