MORONI STORY 'We must remember that we have control over who we are no matter how difficult the world becomes. The shaft of light on the Angel Moroni statue in the picture below tells the story. Click on Picture to in large. 'A good friend of mine, who is also our former stake president, as well as the chief temple architect for more than half of our current temples, told me an interesting story about the Nauvoo Temple. His name is Keith Stepan. He was the managing director for the Temple Construction Department for the church. When the Nauvoo Temple was being built, for various reasons, they had some challenges and delays in getting the statue of Moroni mounted on top of the temple. It was Septemb er of 2001, and one such delay was due to the 9/11 attacks, but there were other problems as well. They started having some concern over exactly when they could mount the statue. As they looked over the construction plans, they decided that a particular day would be the last chance they would have to mount the statue without too much trouble. Anything beyond that would present big challenges. When tthat day came and the weather was not cooperating. It was stormy and very windy. The crane operator felt that it was unsafe to attempt to mount the statue with the wind blowing as strong as it was. Keith Stepan and some of the others on the project went off to a private spot and prayed for the Lord to temper the elements so that they could put Moroni in place that day. Soon afterwards, the wind died down and the clouds opened up just above the temple. They decided to go ahead. Just as the crane began lifting up Moroni, a column of light shot straight down from the sky directly onto Moroni. The statue was successfully installed. The date was September 22 nd, and turned out to be a significant anniversary. It was September 22nd, 1827 that Joseph Smith received the golden plates from the Angel Moroni. Here is a photograph of the statue of Moroni being mounted on the temple in Nauvoo. Keith told me this story personally and gave me this picture.'

Godhood: Man's Divine Potential POINT: ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DOCTRINES OF THE EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH WAS THAT WE HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME LIKE Heavenly FATHER, THAT IS, TO ATTAIN GODHOOD. SELECTED BIBLE PASSAGES: Matthew 5:48 Romans 8: 16-17 2 Corinthians 3:18 2 Peter 1:4 John 3:2 Hebrews 12:22-23 Revelation 2:26-27 Psalm 2:9 Revelation 3;21 LDS are blessed to know that we have the potential to become like our Father In Heaven. Just as earthly fathers want their children to enjoy all that they enjoy, so our Heavenly Father desires that his children receive all of the power and knowledge that He has. The doctrine of man's ability to attain Godhood appears in several place in the NT. Moreover, this teaching ---know as theosis, deification, divinization-- is frequently found throughout the writings of the early church fathers..........

TempleStudy.com Temple as a Scale-Model of the Universe Several scholars, both LDS and members of other faiths, have noted that the temple is a model of the universe: The temple is a scale model of the universe…1 …the temple represents the principle of ordering the universe.2 [The temple is] for the purpose of taking our bearings on the universe…3 …the temple reflects things as they exist in heaven-things as they really are.4 The temple embodies “the structure of the universe, so that ascent through the heavenly levels [is] also a journey ‘inward’ through the temple’s concentric areas of increasing holiness to the Holy of Holies at the center.” 5 …the temple (whether earthly or heavenly) is a miniature imitation of the structure of the universe. 6 God’s perception of time and space are incomprehensible to our mortal and finite minds (Isa. 55:8-9). However, if the temple is an accurate model of the universe, then it should be possible to reproduce an approximate visual representation of the universe from what we learn from the temple, which is what I’ve attempted above. The concentric circles represent the various degrees of glory. The red arrows indicate the path that the earth has taken from its terrestrial creation, its fall to a telestial state (our current state), its renewal to a paradisaical terrestrial glory during the millennium, and then its final purification when it is made a celestial sphere, and, according to Elder McConkie, “no one can live on it who does not conform to a celestial law. Hence, in that day it will be reserved for those who are saved and exalted” 7. The other planets shown represent the other innumerable worlds that now stand at some point in their progression from creation to celestialization (Moses 1:35). Note that this is an attempt at an actual representation of the universe, so the earth would actually physically travel the path away from and back to the presence of God, passing through the different stages and levels. Indeed, the end of times sign of the “stars falling from heaven” has been described as the earth moving through space rather than the stars moving (Rev. 6:12-13; D&C 29:14; D&C 88:87; D&C 133:49). The pre-mortal world starts at the center of the celestial circle (in the presence of God). The spirit world is in the same location as the earth is, albeit in the different dimension. Our celestial kingdom will be upon this earth back in the center of the celestial circle and in the presence of God. How accurate do you think this representation is? How could it be improved? What are your thoughts on the relationship between this model and the current scientific model of the universe we know today? Where do you think those who inherit the terrestrial and telestial kingdoms will reside in the universe? What have other prophets and apostles said about the structure of the universe that might help improve the representation? Apply the book of Mormon to our day why did the Lord use up space showing the Nephite money system? I believe in Gold, Silver, and Grain. The Lord does not waste space in his books. THE BOOK OF ALMA THE SON OF ALMA CHAPTER 11 5 Now the reckoning is thus—a senine of gold, a seon of gold, a shum of gold, and a limnah of gold. 6 A senum of silver, an amnor of silver, an ezrom of silver, and an onti of silver. 7 A senum of silver was equal to a senine of gold, and either for a measure of barley, and also for a measure of every kind of grain. 8 Now the amount of a seon of gold was twice the value of a senine. 9 And a shum of gold was twice the value of a seon. 10 And a limnah of gold was the value of them all. 11 And an amnor of silver was as great as two senums. 12 And an ezrom of silver was as great as four senums. 13 And an onti was as great as them all. 14 Now this is the value of the lesser numbers of their reckoning— 15 A shiblon is half of a senum; therefore, a shiblon for half a measure of barley. 16 And a shiblum is a half of a shiblon. 17 And a leah is the half of a shiblum. 18 Now this is their number, according to their reckoning. 19 Now an antion of gold is equal to three shiblons.

Food Storage March spring flooding has all but wiped out wheat crops in Arkansas, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri...Much of the remaining U.S. wheat has been pre-sold to foreign countries April 5, 2008 North Star Talk Radio Recent news stories have alluded to the possibility of famine in America in 2008 and I believe we may be headed down that road. In all the news reports I've seen, this year's wheat crop is pretty much destroyed worldwide. Agriculture experts and economists are following worldwide weather trends and crop damage and it's not looking good. AP News has been reporting that the March 2008 spring flooding has all but eradicated Arkansas' spring wheat crop and Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri all are reporting similar conditions. Much of the remaining U.S. wheat crop has been pre-sold to foreign countries, therefore it will be domestic supplies that run out first. In fact, wheat reserves in the United States are at their lowest levels since the Depression. Although initially price controls will keep the prices of breads, cereals and other wheat-based products stable, eventually, prices will have to rise in order to keep these industries afloat. Rain & hail storms in Thailand, Pakistan, and the Middle East are threatening or have already destroyed this years wheat crop. And that is from this mornings newswires. While dry weather in India, the world's second largest wheat producer, has contributed to global supply tightness. India's grain-belt has been stricken with long periods of drought since December, threatening roughly half the country's 2.8 billion bushel crop. "They're stuck in that (dry) pattern. The damage isn't done yet, but it will be done if we stay in this pattern for the next two or three weeks," Jason Ward, analyst with Northstar Commodity in Minneapolis said. U.S. wheat stockpiles have thinned as bad weather has battered crop after crop around the world, most recently in Argentina and India. The scarcity has fed seemingly relentless demand for wheat supplies, often at any cost. U.S. wheat exporters have sold more than 15 million bushels a week for seven of the last 11 weeks, well above the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly target of about 1 million bushels a week. The United Nations News is reporting that a new fungus has been discovered in Uganda and the Middle East that is spreading and is also having a serious impact on wheat yields in affected countries. The food shortage is so bad in Haiti that people are eating mud cookies. Yes, cookies made from dried yellow dirt from the country's central plateau and some people can't afford to make those because unless they can make the trip to get the dirt they can't make the mud to make the cookies. Crazy huh? I can't make this stuff up - Google Haitians Eating Dirt and read the story on ABC News or any of the other agencies reporting it. We take our food for granted and we're all just one season away from a major famine or terrorist threat. And wheat isn't the only thing that's scarce. Corn for food is scarce because farmers are growing Genetically-Modified crops for ethanol production and GMO corn for ethanol isn't edible. Or at least is doesn't taste good. Since October 2006, 35% of the Western honey bee population - billions of bees - has disappeared in the United States. It's called Colony Collapse Disorder and by the end of 2007 reports of similar occurrences have flooded in from many other countries. It is thought to be related to certain microscopic ticks attaching themselves to the honey bees or genetically modified crops - experts can't seem to agree on anything except that the bees are gone. While this has already started a rise in honey prices, and seriously affecting my Mead production, the actual impact of the honey bee decimation will be catastrophic. Honey bees are needed to pollinate more than 30% of the crops in the United States. Without pollination, fruit and vegetables don't grow. Major crop producers are already seeing the impact on their crops and prices will rise as the honey bee decimation continues. Couple all of this with rising fuel & transportation costs and crops being grown for uses other than eating and we're in a crisis that we may not be able to recover from. So what do you do? You start by making a list. How many people do you need to feed? What do you need to feed them? Choose foods that make sense for your family. If you store 100 pounds of wheat berries do you even know what to do with them? Will your family eat them? Our motto is "Store what you eat, eat what you store and store 6 months to one year's worth MINIMUM." Your main storage items will be what are called "staples". This includes flour, sugar, salt, yeast, water and canned goods. These items are bought in the bags you get at the grocery or if you buy in bulk they're in large 25-50 pound bags. We repackage these items in buckets with Gamma lids which allow us to upon and close the buckets easily. You can get buckets free sometimes by contacting local restaurants & bakeries. Wash with hot soapy water, rinse with some bleach water and let them dry in the sun which also helps to kill germs. Do you have a bread machine? They're crazy inexpensive now and a breeze to use. Buy flour and ingredients when they're on sale. Bread is cheaper to make at home and tastes a thousand times better. At a $1.39 a loaf and up you can literally make it for pennies. You can also make pizza dough, breakfast rolls, etc. And once you find out how much you love fresh breads learn how to do it by hand in case the power goes out and you can't use your bread machine. Everything that the machine does you can do by hand. You can bake on a gas grill or in your woodstove or even in a bonfire if you have the right tools. Shop the sales. Each week when you get the store ads check out what's on special and stock up on it if it's a great price. If you've made your list then you know what your family eats. I keep receipts and keep track of what items like ketchup, mayonnaise, soup, and cereal costs. When it's on sale I can see what I paid last time and if it's a deal I'll stock up and get extras. You should always put a stock-up buffer in your grocery budget. That way if there's a huge deal then make it worthwhile. Where are you going to put all this stuff? If you have a pantry or closet then great but cases of canned food stack easy and you can rotate the stuff into your cupboards. You can store cases under beds, under your desk, in a garage, up against a wall covered with a table cloth. I've had several tables made out of stacked buckets of sugar, salt & flour topped with a round piece of wood and covered with a table cloth. It was some of the most useful furniture I ever had. One of the main things to remember is keep your food in a cool, dry place if you can. It'll extend the shelf-life. Make room for your own food supply or you'll be standing in food lines waiting for government bread, government cheese, soup, milk and toilet paper. If you can afford it, buy a freezer. We got our upright used. Occasionally you may have to have it repaired but it's worth the investment when prices are high. Chest freezers work best but they're hard to search through if you have a large variety of items. Uprights are easier to inventory. Buy meats in bulk and break them down into smaller packages or if the butcher department has a sale, have them wrap it for you in individually packed sizes like one or two pounds per pack. It's no extra charge and saves you from having to buy paper and tape. I always stop by that department first, tell them what I need like 20 pounds of ground beef in 1 pound packs and I tell them I'll come back for it. They'll remember you and appreciate that you gave them the extra time and you can use it to go stock your cart with other sale items & groceries. That IS really something! It showed me as highly degreed as L-brain sided. I cannot make her change. Danny saw her going clockwise which is R. brain, and he could change her at whim. At times I saw the change he made, but yet there were times when I am looking at her, and he changes her, yet I cannot see the change. Really crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blows my mind. He blows my mind, because he will change her and it is set in stone that she has changed, yet I do not see it, and he thinks I am crazy. This man drives me crazy sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has a difficult time accepting that it is going in the direction differently to each one of us according to each one of our inclination. Check it out! This is cool. LDS Temple Study Blog - Sustaining and Defending the LDS (Mormon) Temple Did the Temple Ordinances Come From The Masons? Dr. Hugh Nibley lecturingToday a commenter on the site mentioned how I should include more parallels with the practices of the Masons, since that is plainly where the temple ordinances came from. And I would respond, did they? Did they really, so easily, come from the Masons? Can we dismiss Joseph as a prophet, seer, and revelator as simply as that? I am reminded of a quote by our eloquent Dr. Nibley: Off-hand, one may say that Joseph Smith could have gotten his ideas from any or many of a great number of sources, ancient and modern. Here is an illustration. On Easter Day in 1954 at about noon, the writer was standing with of the temBrother Virgil Bushman, that doughty missionary to the Hopis, before the house of the celebrated Tewaquetewa in Old Oraibi, when a small delegation of leading men from the village came up and informed us that they had just learned from the local Protestant missionaries how the Mormons got a lot of their stuff. It seems that when the famous chief Tuba became a Mormon, Jacob Hamblin took him to Salt Lake City to marry his wives in the temple there. While the chief was in town, Joseph Smith, none other, got him aside and interrogated him very closely, prying the tribal secrets out of him; from what Chief Tuba told Smith, he proceeded to write the Book of Mormon, establish the temple ordinances, and found the Church. And that, sir, is why the Hopi traditions are so much like the Mormon. The point is, that would be quite a plausible explanation had the two men been contemporary, or had either ever been in Salt Lake; Joseph Smith just might have gotten his knowledge that way. There are in fact countless tribes, sects, societies, and orders from which he might have picked up this and that, had he known of their existence. The Near East in particular is littered with the archaeological and living survivals of practices and teachings which an observant Mormon may find suggestively familiar. The Druzes would have been a goldmine for Smith. He has actually been charged with plundering some of the baggage brought to the West by certain fraternal orders during the Middle Ages-as if the Prophet must rummage in a magpie’s nest to stock a king’s treasury! There are countless parallels, many of them very instructive, among the customs and religious of mankind, to what the Mormons do. But there is a world of difference between Ginzberg’s Legends of the Jews and the book of Isaiah, or between the Infancy Gospels and the real Gospels, no matter how many points of contact one may detect between them. The LDS endowment was not built up of elements brought together by chance, custom, or long research; it is a single, perfectly consistent organic whole, conveying its message without the aid of rationalizing, spiritualizing, allegorizing, or moralizing interpretations.1 Instead of making Joseph out as someone he clearly was not (a one-of-a-kind religious scholar of the most keen intellect and a knowledge a good two hundred years ahead of his time), it makes much more sense to me that he was actually a prophet of God who received the ordinances ple in the same way the ancients did, by revelation from God.

100 Items to Disappear First in a Disaster Situation....

Generator Conversion Kits to Propane and Natural Gas. Generator Conversion Kits to Propane and Natural Gas. You can count on gasoline . . . to let you down! Gasoline is not a fuel that professionals ever choose to use on backup generators. Hospitals and other large facilities "never" install a gasoline back-up generator. They always use natural gas or diesel. Gasoline has a very limited shelf life and will actually cause engine failure. Worst of all when power outages occur due to ice storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and all other disasters, the first commodity to be hoarded is gasoline. Sadly, long lines (even fistfights) and rationing at gas pumps are a common occurrence during many disasters. The hurricanes that hit Florida last year were sad proof of that. However, working along with FEMA, we were called upon to be of assistance in helping in areas where gasoline was not even available to run generators. Propane, and especially natural gas, were more plentiful and just the ticket to keep the lights on and the crews working. Unfortunately, as some have learned the hard way, if not used often enough, gasoline will gum up the carburetor and will render an engine on the emergency generator useless. Do not get caught with a gummed up carburetor that will not allow your engine to run, on your gasoline generator that you cannot even get fuel for, when you need it the most. Now that you have invested in a backup generator, make sure that it runs when you need it the most. Modify your Generator to run on propane or natural gas or even keep the gasoline option if you like and have the option to run all three fuels on the same engine! Propane and natural gas can save you time, money and aggravation. Our do-it-yourself change over kits allow you to run your gasoline generator on propane (LP Gas), natural gas, or all three. Propane and natural gas are truly a backup fuel for a backup generator. Your engine will last longer, start better in cold weather and even start next year when you go to use it in an emergency. The best part is, with one of our do-it-yourself kits you can change your engine from gasoline to propane or natural gas all by yourself. Why use propane to power your generator? If you have propane available you know you can store propane for years because it does not gum up, go bad, or pollute the air like gasoline does. You can use the 100# (24 gallon) cylinders, little bar-b-q grill type 20# cylinders, which is equivalent to 5 gallons of gasoline, or big tanks like 250, 500 and 1000 gallon ASME tanks. Why use natural gas to power your generator? If you have Natural gas available you would certainly agree that it is probably the most dependable fuel on earth and virtually an unlimited supply. Natural gas is always there. It does not gum up or go stale like gasoline. Here are many more of the benefits: Propane and natural gas powered engines provide the same power as gasoline. Longer, uninterrupted run times! Connect to big tanks or to your natural gas pipe line. Your generator will last longer because of larger fuel supply and less running out under load. Clean burning Alternate fuel will help extend the life of your engine life. Eliminate the "Dirty Port" that gasoline carburetors have that shortens the life of an engine. Click here if you'd like to learn more about adding an adapter to the engine for tri-fuel or about what is involved with drilling a carburetor for dedicated use. This page has pictures and even a video . Kits are available for most four cycle engines like Briggs & Stratton Engines, Craftsman Engines, Honda Engines, Kubota Engines, Onan Engines, Kohler Engines and others. Check the engine page to see if yours is listed. We also carry Kits for Generators such as Briggs and Stratton Generators, Campbell Hausfeld Generators, Coleman Generators, Craftsman Generators, Dayton Generators, Devilbiss Generators, Generac Generators, Homelite Generators, Honda Generators, Kubota Generators, Makita Generators, Onan Generators, Troy-Bilt Generators, Yamaha Generators and those sold at Lowe's and Home Depot. Check the Generator page to see the current listing. -

The Church of Oprah Exposed We need pray.....for Aprah! Scary stuff!!!!!! Please take the time to watch this video on You Tube. It has chilled me to the bone. We live in a country where people are free to worship how they see fit. There are false teachers leading people away from God every day. I am fearful that with Oprah's popularity people will believe her and buy into this. And, they pretty much more than likely will! I can't imagine the pain God feels as he looks on our nation. We serve a just God and Judgment will come. Let us unite in prayer for the direction of our nation and may all believers take every opportunity to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and proclaim the truth. There is only one way!!!!! And, definitely that is thru Jesus Christ, I know you know, or I would not be sending this to you!! YET ~ this MUST be spread, and this one I am suggesting all to copy and forward it on ~ YouTube - The Church of Oprah Exposed

Jacie"s CelticAir Band/she is the National Fiddlers Champion... Idaho Falls Celtic Air Band As Jacie's bow touched the strings I heard "true pitch" and performances that absolutely astounded me. I watched as her graceful fingers danced across the strings, as she artfully moved the bow, and I heard song after song play with soulful precision. The joy and emotion she felt as she played, clearly came through and touched my heart. She is truly phenomenal !"

How old is Mullenite??? Stay with this -- the answer is at the end. It will blow you away, plus it will help you to understand me! One evening a grandson was talking to me about current events. The grandson asked what I thought about the shootings at schools, the computer age, and just things in general. I replied, "Well, let me think a minute, I was born before: ' television ' penicillin ' polio shots ' frozen foods ' Xerox ' contact lenses ' Frisbees and ' the pill There were no: ' credit cards ' laser beams or ' ball-point pens Man had not invented: ' pantyhose ' air conditioners ' dishwashers ' clothes dryers ' and the clothes were hung out to dry in the fresh air and ' man hadn't yet walked on the moon Your Grandmother and I got married first, . . . and then lived together. Every family had a father and a mother. Until I was 25, I called every man older than me, "Sir". And after I turned 25, I still called policemen and every man with a title, "Sir." We were before gay-rights, computer- dating, dual careers, daycare centers, and group therapy. Our lives were governed by the Ten Commandments, good judgment, and common sense. We were taught to know the difference between right and wrong and to stand up and take responsibility for our actions. Serving your country was a privilege; living in this country was a bigger privilege. We thought fast food was what people ate during Church. Having a meaningful relationship meant getting along with your cousins. Draft dodgers were people who closed their front doors when the evening breeze started. Time-sharing meant time the family spent together in the evenings and weekends-not purchasing condominiums. We never heard of FM radios, tape decks, CDs, electric typewriters, yogurt, or guys wearing earrings. We listened to the Big Bands, Jack Benny, and the President's speeches on our radios. And I don't ever remember any kid blowing his brains out listening to Tommy Dorsey. If you saw anything with 'Made in Japan' on it, it was junk The term 'making out' referred to how you did on your school exam. Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and instant coffee were unheard of. We had 5 &10-cent stores where you could actually buy things for 5 and 10 cents. Ice-cream cones, phone calls, rides on a streetcar, and a Pepsi were all a nickel. And if you didn't want to splurge, you could spend your nickel on enough stamps to mail 1 letter and 2 postcards. You could buy a new Chevy Coupe for $1,600. . . . but who could afford one? Too bad, because gas was 18 cents a gallon. In my day: ' "grass" was mowed, ' "coke" was a cold drink, ' "pot" was something your mother cooked in and ' "rock music" was your grandmother's lullaby. ' "Aids" were helpers in the Principal's office, ' " chip" meant a piece of wood, ' ! "hardware" was found in a hardware store and ' "software" wasn't even a word. And we were the last generation to actually believe that a lady needed a husband to have a baby. No wonder people call us "old and confused" and say there is a generation gap... and how old do you think I am? I bet you have this old man in mind...you are in for a shock! Read on to see -- pretty scary if you think about it and pretty sad at the same time. Are you ready ????? This ! man would be only 67 years old
