  1. “A word to you young sisters: while you do not have the same priesthood responsibility as do the young men to serve as full-time missionaries, you also make a valuable contribution as missionaries, and we welcome your service." president Monson From the new bishops handbook: "Bishops may initiate discussions about missionary service with these sisters but should not pressure them to serve. Bishops should not recommend sisters for missionary service if it will interfere with imminent marriage prospects." I am a bishop in Denmark, and if a young sister came to me, I would tell her what the handbook says, and also tell her that the choice is hers and I will support what she after prayer and meditation fells is right for her.
  2. I think it is a great idea with online missionaries. Do you know this site ?? O, That I Were an Angel!: Social Networking for Missionaries?
  3. I like the idea of blogging missionaries. My son is on a mission in Greece (sent out from Denmark) and will not be on Facebook for 2 years. He has 463 facebook friends, many of them non-members, and I´m thinking it is wasted missionary opportunity, that he can´t stay in contact with them via the internet while he is serving. We also have a young man from Greenland going on a mission, he is the only church member in his family. He has 633 facebook friends, many of them on Greenland where there is no church outreach. Here could also be a great missionary opportunity.
  4. Here is a great site on LDS- Islam interfaith, startet by two friends. A muslim and a LDS: Welcome
  5. I´ve set up a Facebook page called: LDS - Islam friendship. Take a look (o: and also enjoy the two videos from Youtube, one with views of temples and one with views of mosques. Anyone interested in creating a similar page on the net (outside Facebook)? LDS - Islam friendship | Facebook Comments invited.
