  1. At the beginning of the millennium there will be a resurrection of the just, or the First Resurrection, and these will be "caught up" to meet the Savior. All others will have to wait until the end of the millennium to be raised, and that will comprise the Second Resurrection. I think the former is what your PB is talking about. The First Resurrection began with the Savior taking up His life again, and will end after the Resurrection of the Just during the millennium.
  2. Boa noite siouxz72! I suppose I'd enjoy getting to know everyone on the boards, but I've got an affinity for the real scholarly types...you know the ones who have an answer for everything gospel related, and there seems to be quite a bit like that in this forum! And thankfully there isn't too much bickering about matters like there seems to be in certain other LDS discussion groups.
  3. I'm not a firstborn, I'm a second-born :). I have an older brother and 3 younger sisters. I served in Porto Alegre South and had an absolute blast. It wasn't until my mission that I actually knew the Church was true, so I thank God for the experience every day.
  4. I'm personally acquainted with 2 Jewish men who converted a few years back. They're 2 of the most spiritual guys I've ever met, and talking to them always leaves my head spinning when they get on the subject of similarities between Jewish mysticism and Mormonism.
  5. Hi! Hope everybody is doing well. I'm Dubhghall (pronounced Doyle, it's Irish Gaelic for "dark stranger). Just thought I'd join up, I've been a lurker here for quite some time, and thought I might have something to contribute. I'm LDS and have been so my whole life. Served a mission in Brazil, and am currently pursuing my masters in neurobiology at the University of Utah. Looking forward to getting to know some of you guys. :)
