  1. And the moral of the story: If y'all're too dumb to get a ladder, then you'd better hope your significant other knows advanced cloning techniques (or the art of grave robbing). Because otherwise, she's obviously fine with self-mutilation.

Now if you want a REAL tear jerker, go here. Bring kleenex.

    LM

lol its done by an anime artist, and in anime even tennis has people who are super humans lol. so yeah its more about the message of giving up something really important to help someone, If it were possible how many of us would really give up a limb to help someone we care about? I would agree about the ladder though

  2. I feel very strongly about this - a community should have complete power over its teachers and subject matter taught in their public schools supported by their taxes. Teachers (or teacher unions) should not dictate to community what goes on in schools. I do not think it is up to me or you to determine what goes on in schools outside our communities. Things should be open and free. Teachers should have every opportunity to work at schools where they are comfortable and communities should have teachers that likewise reflect the community.

    The Traveler

yeah but in a town like mine (farminig is the main source of income for most people) that would mean most of the parents would want farming and mechanics taught over math and music (my best and fav subjects) in fact my entire grade would be left out because only about 10% of my grade is intrested in stuff like farming and mechanics, and all the other grades are as well. In fact I expect to see at least 10 people in my grade become famous or have some sort of major impact on the world, if they try. If the parents decided what was taught then we would be left out. However the school should be a place for students to develop their own opinions and skills insted of having it forced onto them, like most liberals want in my opinion and what is happening here. But my town is messed up anyways, the sheriff is on drugs, known fact im not joking, and he still gets reelected

  3. ok but what about your perseption (spl) of time? If you have a beam of light travelling in one direction and another beam of light travelling in the exact opposite direction wouldnt time be viewed as going twice as fast because our perseption of time is only as fast as the speed of light and your perseption of an objects speed is increased when your going towards it and its heading towards you, if they are travelling at the same speed it should take half as long as it would be if one of the objects were still

  4. Yeah so long as they dont take controll of your life I dont think theres much wrong with them. However there is a difference between fighting Nazis, Aliens, and demons that only show blood. And playing as a gangster that rapes, and dismembers humans with the game going into extreme detail. Its just a matter of judgement

  5. I think this is the correct place to put this, if not someone can move it. And sorry if this has been posted before but I think that its worth reading over every now and then

These 31 conditions much be complied with in order to produce a similar record under comparable conditions.

    1. Write a history of ancient land covering a period from 2200 B.C. to 400 A.D.

    2. Include the history of two distinct, separate nations along with histories of different contemporary nations or groups of people.

    3. Describe their religious, economic, social, cultural, and political institutions.

    4. Weave into their history the religion of Jesus Christ and the pattern of Christian living.

    5. You are 23 years of age.

    6. You must have no more than three years of formal schooling.

    7. Start now and produce this record, covering a period of 2600 years of history, in 60 days.

    8. Write not a short, but a long record, even 520 pages of over 150 words per page.

    9. You must not make any absurd, impossible or contradictory statements.

    10. When you finish in 60 days, you must make no changes in the text. The first edition much stand forever.

    11. You must invite the ablest scholars and experts to examine the text with care and strive diligently to see that your book gets into the hands of all those most eager to prove it a forgery and who are most competent to explose any flaws.

    12. You must give out that your "smooth narrative" is not fiction, but true; even sacred history.

    13. You must write this history on the basis of what you now know. You must publish it to every nation, kindred, tongue and people, declaring it to be the word of God.

    14. You must include within the record a marvelous, unique "dangerous" promise: "And when you shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, He will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost." (Moroni 10:4)

    15. It is to fulfull the Bible prophecies, even in the exact manner in which it shall come forth, to whom given, the purposes, and the accomplishments.

    16. Your descriptions of the cultures in these civilizations are not known when you bring forth this record.

    17. Many of the facts, ideas and statements, given as true in your record, must be entirely inconsistent, even the direct opposite of the prevailing belief of the world.

    18. Investigation, scientific evidence and archaeological discovery for the next 150 years must verify its claim and prove even the minutest details to be perfectly true.

    19. After 150 years of extensive analysis, no claim or fact in the book shall be disproved, but all must be vindicated. All theories and ideas as to its origin, rise and fall, must leave your own claims as the only possible ones.

    20. Internal and external evidences and prophecies must be confirmed and fulfilled in the next 150 years.

    21. Four accreditable witnesses must testify to the world that an angel from heaven appeared to them and showed them the ancient records from which you claim your record is translated.

    22. These four men must handle and lift the records and feel the ancient engravings thereon.

    23. You must call out of heaven the voice of the Redeemer to declare to the four men that the record is true and that it is their responsibility to bear their testimony. And that very thing they must do.

    24. Eight others in the broad daylight must testify to the world that they saw and handled the ancient records and that they also felt the engravings thereon.

    25. The first four and the last eight witnesses must also bear their testimony not for money or gain, but under great personal sacrifices, severe persecution, even to their death beds.

    26. Thousands of great men, intellectual giants and scholars, must subscribe discipleship to the record and its movement, even to the point of laying down their lives.

    27. Tens and hundreds of thousands must bear record to the world for the next 150 years, and, or, that they know the record to be true, because they put the promise to test and found it to be true and the truth was manifested to them by the power of the Holy Ghost.

    28. You must add 180 proper nouns to the English language... Shakespeare added only 30.

    29. You must find someone to finance the book with full knowledge that neither you nor he will ever receive any monetary remuneration for it at all. You must sell it at cost or less.

    30. You must write a book with 239 chapters, 54 of them about wars, 21 about history, 55 about prophecy, 71 on doctrine, 17 about missionaries, and 21 about the mission of Jesus Christ.

    31. After suffering persecution and revilement for the next 20 years, you must then, willingly, give yourself into the hands of a mob, that you know will take your life, which you give as your testimony that the record is from God.

  6. 1) Until 1978, the Mormon church forbid black people to hold the priesthood. Why?

We dont know why really, my best guess would be that The effects of allowing Black Male Men to hold the Priesthood would be worse than if they werent, possibly from the fact that enemies of the church would use that as an attack against the Church (remember the time period) but theyve always been allowed to be members

    2) Joseph Smith practiced polygamy. Why?

Pologamy has been allowed to increase the population of the kingdom of God, I would say that God felt The population of the church was low and needed a boost

    3) No DNA or archeological study shows any evidence of the huge populations the Book of Mormon claims lived in North America. Why?

    FAIR answers this well

    http://en.fairmormon.org/Book_of_Mormon/DNA_evidence

    4) The Fundamentalist LDS church behaves in radically perverted ways, yet still worships the same book and religious leaders. Why?

The same thing happened with the bible didnt it? people pick and chose what they wanted and got rid of the rest

  7. 1. A young man/woman begins to masturbate and develops a bad habit. It is sexual sin, but how bad is it?

I know from personal experence that this one is bad, its an addiction not a bad habit and your using things for stuff other than what they were intended for. There could be worse stuff but dont do it.

    2. The engaged couple who slip up a couple of times before they talk to the bishop.

    They arent married.

    3. A man who wants as many notches on his belt as possible.

Thats just plain wrong and your taking advantage over others

    4. A woman who has no sense of self worth, except for when she is deceived by a man who gives her attention.

    Its still a sin.

    5. A husband or wife who cheats and keeps it from their spouse.

This is worse than not being married and doing it because there breaking a solem vow with someone

    6. Anyone seeking a prostitute.

    why even ask?

    7. A young man/woman who has received little or no education on the gravity of the sin, or of the sin itself.

Its a sin but If they dont know then they cant be punished as much, that not an excuse though

    8. A divorced or widowed individual with an honorable past who makes a mistake because they long for the intimacy that comes with a relationship.

Its still a sin just try and remarry paul says to remarry if you cant contain yourself in the New Testiment

    9. A horny man/woman who just wants to 'get some'.

Its a sin, That wont be an excuse on judgment day

    10. A married man addicted to pornography and is no longer satisfied with viewing.

Porn is an addiction and is a sin in its self and its still not an excuse.

Pretty much everything you said up there is next to murder except for masturbation, That however will escalate to things much worse if you dont controll it, Simply the best thing to say is dont do it its still a sin.

Plus we are told to keep the commandments, not pick and choose or try but to keep them, you cant go around and say this isnt as bad as that because of some different circumstance, its still a sin no matter how you look at it.
