http://www.enterprisemission.com/moon1.htmIapetus’ most singular characteristic is the fact that, in Cassini’s small, 17th century refracting telescope (it only had an objective lens two inches in diameter!), the faint Saturnian moon (about 100 times dimmer than the faintest object visible to the unaided naked eye) seemed to literally disappear about every 40 days … for half its 79-day orbit! As Cassini watched, Iapetus would be visible during its so-called “western elongation” (when it was west of Saturn in the sky), but would then progressively get dimmer as it curved around and passed behind the planet, until it completely vanished as it approached “eastern elongation.” Then, a few days later, it would “magically” reappear … as an extremely faint “star” … growing steadily in brightness, until it reached its farthest distance west of Saturn once again and its greatest brightness! This puzzling behavior would then mysteriously repeat -- like the newly invented mechanical clockwork -- every 79 days; a mysterious “winking” moon … orbiting Saturn … for as long as Cassini observed. Although he was only capable of observing Iapetus in his small telescope as a “dimensionless point of light,” Cassini correctly theorized that this “winking moon” phenomenon had to be due to the fact that one entire hemisphere of Iapetus must be vastly brighter than the other half – and that the moon was synchronously rotating (with one hemisphere continuously facing Saturn – like Earth’s Moon always faces Earth) as Iapetus revolved around the distant ringed planet in its 79-day orbit (below). If the leading hemisphere of Iapetus was “very dark” Cassini theorized, and the trailing hemisphere “remarkably bright,” this simple geometry would result in the distant moon periodically falling below detectability in his “modest glass …” Three hundred ten years later – on November 14, 1980 -- the NASA Voyager 1 unmanned spacecraft transmitted, from only a few hundred thousand miles away, the first clear image back to Earth showing that Cassini had been right! Remarkably, the entire “front half” of Iapetus was fully ten times darker than the “back half” – the former reflecting only about as much light as a piece of charcoal … or (as Arthur put it in “2001”) burnt toast! The geometry of this inexplicable dichotomy also proved unique (below): for obvious reasons, Iapetus forever earned the title that evening, after Voyager’s historic first fully resolved images were sent home, of— “The Yin/Yang Moon” …. * * * … At last, the pale dawn lay ahead; the ship, moving more and more slowly now, was emerging into day. It could no longer escape from the Sun, or even from Saturn – but it was still moving swiftly enough to rise away from the planet until it grazed the orbit of Iapetus, two million miles out. It would take Discovery fourteen days to make that climb, as she coasted once more, though in reverse order, across the paths of all the inner moons. One by one she would cut through the orbits of Janus, Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan, Hyperion … worlds bearing the names of gods and goddesses who had vanished only yesterday, as time was counted here. Then she would meet Iapetus, and must make her rendezvous …. * * * Voyager acquired many images as it approached Iapetus for the first time. On some of them (below - left), a large (~ 150 mile diameter), dark, ring-shaped feature appeared on the side of the moon facing Saturn. In the center of the ring -- almost exactly as Arthur had described it before anyone could have seen it -- was an “elliptical white region … with a black center!” Arthur later reported that our mutual friend and colleague, the late Carl Sagan -- who was one of the Voyager imaging team members – some time after the first Iapetus encounter, sent him one of these remarkable photos (above) … along with a note: “Thinking of you ….” In these first fascinating images, tangent to this giant ring (above) – in fact, appearing to emanate from it in some kind of “directed spray pattern!” -- was the far larger, extremely dark, elliptical feature which appeared to cover the entire “front” of this exotic moon. This was strikingly confirmed by a somewhat closer shot, taken in approximate natural color by the follow-on Voyager 2 spacecraft (and, of the opposite side of the moon -- the one facing away from Saturn) … in August, 1981 (below).

The argument goes: There may be evidence for local or regional floods, ergo a Bible story understood as local or regional may be plausible. However, a world wide flood to the tops of the mountains (besides being impossible by all known laws of nature) would have left evidence that we would find. There is none, ergo such a flood is incredible - read not credible. Certainly you are familiar with the many ways that the Bible can be shown to be unreliable??? I don't think you could find even one single credible scientist who is NOT religiously motivated that believes in a 6000 - 10,000 year earth. ← Earths cyclical floods occur every 10000 to 12000 years. There is scientific evidence to support global flooding. Even Ancient Sumeria, thought by many to be the first cradle of civilization, have accounts of a world wide catastrophic flood. These accounts are found on its Cuineform tablets. There is no certain way to have precise ages of the Earth itself, and only generalized estimates at best. Global Deluges have been accounted for in the worlds differing religions and civilizations. It is scientifically supported. Mars also has undergone a great deluge and perhaps quite a few as well. The Global flooding of the Earth is a natural cyclical catastrophic to humans and life event. Just as the Giant Impactor into the Gulf of Mexico which created huge poisonous clouds that blocked the Suns light and snuffed out large life on Earth.

Like I said before: Allof of em want it both ways. I think your nuerons and nervous electrical impulses command you. I would not rule out millions or billions of years of modification of human beings. In the beginning, humans were primitive cave dwellers who dwelled together for survival. Im pretty sure that they were not monogamous either. Wolves are monogamous. They mate with only one partner for the span of their lives. Go figure. Polygamy is a man made self rightous recipe to wipe out the guilt for having sex with more than one person. Adam and Eve were the first recorded instance of intelligent humans on Earth, however there are relics dating to pre cambrian epoch that show intelligent design before Adam and Eve. REmember that Bibles and Korans and written records are not written by the Gods, but by Humans.

The Catholic church committee 'voted' on whether Jehoshua was divine or simply mortal. They did not recieve any accountable direct revelations concerning this. There were earlier traditions and stories of other religions that predated Jehoshua and they believed that ' a man was ressurected' It is possible that all the past and current religions anywhere in the world are all missing key vital elements pertinent to the transmutation of humanity. After all, all these books were written by Humans, not Gods. The Gods themselves, if they wrote their own books, are with them, not us.

It is ironic that Pope Gregory banned priests from marrying in the 11th. Century as it WAS a requirement for the early Christian church that leaders be married -- that makes more sense than the divorce idea since rabbinical leaders were required to be married and Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism. I will note that it used to be customary (still is from what I understand although it is difficult to get around discrimination laws) to only hire married teachers for public school positions. Makes perfect sense in that you serve as a good role model and you are less likely to mess around with students. We can see the problem the Catholic Church has with choir boys. Hate to get back to Freud but a couple of other defense mechanisms employed by people to ease guilt and tension is projection and renounciation of needs. In the later, a guy raised to believe sex is wrong, yet not only harbors sexual thoughts but those that might not be so "mainstream" might become a priest so as to make up for his guilt complex. Projection refers to taking subconscious thoughts and throwing them upon others to feel better. One wonders why women always wound up the victims of sadistic tortures for herecy and witchcraft -- ever see the means to get confessions? S & M. What evolved into Christianity in Europe seems to make sex seem like a sin -- it isn't in marriage and celebasy a higher order (yeah, right). That is a far cry from Judaism and later Islam (which is more Biblical on sexual matters than Christianity) which saw sex as a sacrament and blessing from God. So if you have leaders with their own sexual hangups actually outlawing marriage for church leaders it is no wonder this "marriage if you must" attitude would be so anti-polygamy. One wife is bad enough but several? Also, polygamy was less common amongst the upper class of Jerusalem in Jesus's day -- most were totally Hellenized and looked down on their Jewish heritage (thus the reason all of Jerusalem is recorded as troubled at the signs proclaiming the birth of Jesus. The more religious Jews (especially in the countryside) still practiced polygamy. Jews did not postpone polygamy until around the 17th. Century in Europe in order to avoid persecution from Christians -- the Jewish stand is not unlike the LDS position if you examine it. ← According to the church doctrine, it is a sin to have sex without the intention of creating babies. First of all, who says you gotta be married. Dont worry about this junk. Affectionate sex with the opposite sex is healthy if the partners are disease free. Also, wouldnt you think that plural marriage with the intent of creating oodles of babies would casue some genetic malfunctioning of the offspring. Possible venereal diseases. Plural marriage is no different in its underlying theme than a person wanting multiple partners for sex. All this stuff is lunacy. Sex without children is acceptable and should not be looked upon as sloth. IF you want to be married, then stay with one. If you want to have sex with multiple partners, then dont bother getting married. Just make sure you and they are up to date on testing. thats all.

In regards to Negroes being unable to recieve the two priesthoods, this doctrine held up through 1979. If there really is a God, why does he not appear to anyone else nowadays. Why does he not appear to the current prophet? Why did he not appear to the modern prophets of the 20th century and this current century. If God is the same today and always, then why wouldnt God appear to every Prophet through all the ages? I am of the belief that Jehoshua, and his 'Father' were transmutated beings who were responsible for seeding this planet, along with innumerable past civiliations in this part of the Universe. They were given the technical know how and privy to hyperdimensional manipulation, which is what makes up everything, including them. I believe that 'Lucifer' was another of their firstborn, who wanted this knowledge of engineering but was kicked out by his father and only allowed certain powers for a time being. Evidence shows that in this solar system, there is arche extra terrestrial artifacts that litter the Gustav Basin on Mars, and miles high Glass domes on the earths moon, as well as Gematria that can be found on Mars, our Moon, our Earth, and possible on other planets and Moons found in this solar system. Intelligent design as Taoist Saint mentioned, is a theory that deserves as much consideration as Evolution does. 'The Gods' didnt use magic and spells and utter chants and words to create things, they used their knowledge and technical know how to 'Engineer' life and masses. However, they themselves werent the first to know this. It was passed on to them, from someone else. The Gods as we call them, are not really Gods, as they are transmutated, hyperdimensionally transformed beings, much like us, but with 13 trillion years of schooling behind them, had enough time to bring about what we are all aware of in this 'neck of the woods' of the Universe.

Also, I have not read any sensible excuse why Negroids were denied the ability to recieve the two Priesthoods that were found sacred in the Church in its beginnings, and that this practice of exclusion remained doctrine through 1979.
