I Personally think it would be awsome..... I am looking forward to seeing this post progress and think I will do a little surfing later myself.

Thats funny, my wife and I were talking about this again last night and were discussing how all we really need to do is make sure we have what we are asked to have, and that we know we would help anyone we could and that if we did we would be provided for. We also discussed protection and how far we would go to protect what we have. I just know that a person wouldnt want to come sneeking into my home especially in times of desperation I tend to be a bit jumpy and usually hit what im aiming at. I have talked with my neighbor and am acutally inviting him to church and to talk with the missionaries and hes interested in the whole food storage thing so I am going to work with him on starting one of his own. I Know it is all a personal choice if we do or dont want to share but I still would like to hear others thoughts on it.

Not really looknig for advise just wondering what others thoughts are on the subject of your food storage and the whole sharing with others.

I hope I am not bringing up something that has already been talked about but I searched and didnt see anything. I was out in my yard watching a big storm roll over when my neighbor came over to talk to me. I have talked to him a little about the church and his daughter goes with mine to Young women most weeks and to church with us some Sunday's. Anyway the topic came up about food storage and he asked if we (my wife and I ) did that to which I replied yes and that we were always working on it and how we tried to rotate it and so on. Well I had a feeling there was something he wanted to ask so I just let him go on and talk then he told me a story about when his father helped a LDS Family move into his neighborhood and they had all this food and he asked them about it they told him he then asked the kicker. Well if something bad happened would you share your food with me and my family. The LDS man answered him no I wont and my neighbors father never had anything to do with him again. So my neighbor asked me the same question, well I figure when it comes down to it I dont think I would be able to not share but I have no idea how bad it will get although I can guess and if it gets that bad I might be hard pressed to share food with blood relatives........ Anyway I thought I would like to hear others thoughts and feelings on the matter. so what do you think?

I will start be saying I am brand new to this site. that said I will just share my feelings of what I have seen on the site. When I first found the Site I was pretty excited not many places I feel comfortable chatting on and I love to chat so when I saw this place I instantly joined thinking awsome a LDS site FOR LDS. Now I did not in any way believe that ONLY LDS people would be on the site I am not that nieve. I started by reading thru the older posts and really enjoyed most of them and I every so often would come across someone that would say things like " thats why I left the church ....." then go on to tell why they are not members any longer and so on or would express their strong opinion on what they dont like about the church. Well I would start by skipping what they would have to say but if you notice it only takes a couple posts and then everyone is commenting about it. so basically I drop the thread, to be honest if I wanted to hear why people dislike the church or dont agree with its teachings then I will go to a site that I expect to hear it from. I can understand why this Jason was mentioned because his comments tend to be inflamitory and not what most LDS at least the ones I know really care to hear. I have nothing against him I dont know him in the least so I will not comment on his heart or nature, it is not my job to judge so I will not. BUT (and you knew that was coming) but I can choose what I will listen to and put into my mind, and anything that puts down or takes away from our teachings is ANTI no matter how nice it is put. Now I understand its all personal Opinion and thats part of what makes us unique but I and others I have met and continue to meet saw this site and were happy for one reason.......---> LDS talk, three letters. I in no way want to say that people that arnt LDS shouldnt be here. not at all just be carefull and watch for the negative. Easier said maybe and again its only my opinion but I do know there are LDS that will not come here and participate because of some of this. oh and no I am not the one that wrote the original post to get this started. but i agree with it. I enjoy this site and look forward to meeting others and chatting and making new friends. Royal O.
