well I thought it was funny and i wanted to share it. I don't see anything wrong with that, I am not a robot. Plus it only took me about 30 seconds to write.

so a catholic priest runs into the popes office and says: "I have some good news and I have some bad news" Pope, "what is the good news?" Priest, "well, Jesus has returned to the earth?" well I would have you all know that I am out in the field right now, I am on the front lines of the lord. I run into people who have anti, I have investigators who look at anti, and I have baptized people who have overcome it. I will say this, I never bash, I never give timid answers and i don't beat around the bush. WE HAVE THE TRUTH, and nothing can disprove truth. The thing I do when faced with those questions is this "The book of Mormon is convincing evidence of what we have taught, if you read and pray sincerely you will recieve and answer, I know because it worked for me" that is all you have to do, there is no other way. So don't think I am just some, naive little boy. I am a servant of god, and my authority is above that of the kings of the earth. The spirit is my sword. And as far as this whole online missionary work thing, I would like to share, that there are many on this site supporting me, there are many who understand the work of the lord and my purpose on here, and they sustain the apostle which have created this program. On my blog, this website, LDS.net, has been my greatest success. I have 24 followers. I have over 554 views from this website alone, that seems pretty succesful and that the lords work is moving a little more forward because of it. I would love it if you would support me but if not, I will fulfill my calling anyway.

well, I was only referring to them like that because I love them so dearly, something you may not be able to understand if you are not a missionary. It is a bond, I love my people here and I manifest it because I serve them. I don't think you should be so nit picky, but either way I don't care. You all may not feel it yet, but this is truly what I am called and commissioned to do, you may find it weird that I am on forums and facebook and all, but it is a calling and I will magnify it. I will have you know that there are many on this site supporting me, I looked at the traffic sources of my blog which is very new by the way, and I have 10 new followers and over 554 views because of the posts I have made on this site. I feel that is very successful and that it is of great benefit to the lord.

well first off in answer to TL10 question. I am serving a full-time proselyting mission, I just take on hour out of the day to talk to people online. and now to answer Just a Guys post. If you think that a successful teacher is one that knows the deep doctrine and can battle against the anti's you are mistaken. A good teacher is one that follows the inspiration of the spirit. You don't think we get hit with that stuff everyday, it only shakes those that don't have a testimony of the gospel. We are here to invite others to come unto christ and when I am following the spirit nothing anyone says can confound me, NOTHING!! The truth will always win there is nothing anyone can do to disrupt that. so don't think that age means anything, Joseph smith was just 14 when he saw god the father, and Jesus christ. Mormon was just 10 when he was called to serve and just 16 when he was in charge of the entire nephite army. Age doesn't matter, knowledge doesn't matter. it is faith and obedience that qualify us.

well, the answer that I would give is this: I am not sure if you are a member or not, I am not sure if you have served a mission either. But I am on a mission and those evils of bad language, inappropriate comments, and even pornography, we see them almost on an everyday basis. It isn't just on the internet, it is in peoples homes, heard by people on the streets. we are constantly bombarded. Also the whole thing about missionaries abusing the rights of being online. Those missionaries that would use the internet for bad, or misuse and abuse there time. They are probably already doing it, even without the calling to be an online missionary. even six months ago, if I wanted to go on the internet and goof off, not much would stop me if that was my mindset. But now it is approved for some missionaries and soon probably all, and those missionaries that will abuse it, they probably already are. And it is as all things in our church, there will always be opposition and there will always be those who don't support it, but the work of the lord will move forward, and there is nothing, NOTHING, anyone can do to stop it. we just have to trust in the lord that the decisions are correct, and remember D & C 1:38 "whether by my voice or by the voice of my servants. it is the same" I have been privileged to receive this calling. I admit at first i wasn't to thrilled, I am a worker, just give me a book of mormon, and get out of the way, I skipped many a lunch breaks because i loved being out among my people. and at first i thought, now i have to stay cooped up in a room for an extra hour. I let go of my pride though, and when I did, the spirit bore witness to me that this is what I am suppose to do. This is from god, and a key to helping the work of the lord move forward.

well baellison, I am a full-time missionary of the church, and I promise you that the right and correct decision for you to make is to follow Jesus Christ, he will never lead you astray. listen to the holy ghost and see if the things the missionaries are teaching are good fruits. for all that is good comes from god. because we want them to be in contact with a missionary who won't leave in 20 minutes out of a chat room. I want them to become my friend on facebook, a follower to my blog, and being taught by members in their area. Look, I just hope you all realize I am not just doing this because I feel like it, I have been called of god to do this, this idea has been proposed by an apostle of god, I am just trying to be obedient and magnify my calling. thanks for the advice, I think I will do that. The most important thing I want to do is just get my blog out there so non-members can see it, and they lead them to mormon.org and get missionaries where they are at to teach them along with me. well, you know we feel it the same way, that people are most likely to remain active when introduced by a friend. you are preaching to the choir, I am A MISSIONARY!! we still do the exact same things other missionaries do, just take one hour out of the day to do online work. Plus it is the same concept, we want people not only to check out our blog, but refer there friends to us. this gets us in the door. And the reason we go onto forums is to get our blog more and more public, the more followers the more widespread it will be, this is why we want all who read this to become a follower, it will help the work of the lord move forward. and if you are still skeptical, just remember this came forth from an apostle of god. I am just doing my best to follow his counsel as he follows god, we don't know how this is going to work, it is very very new, we are just a pilot mission for it. but support would be helpful, I know i am not perfect, but I am trying my best to fulfill my calling.

Hey, did you know that missionaries are now allowed to blog. they keep up to date, messages and posts on their everyday life. I know because i have been selected to be one of those missionaries. this is going to help the word of the lord spread to every nation, kindred tounge and people. This is truly a great thing, 1.what we do with our time, is the same as all other missionaries. we still go out, tract, street contact and teach in peoples home, that is what a majority of our time is spent doing. we only spend one to two hours a day on the internet, if needed. 2. we do it in public libraries where, or family history centers, and it is only by missionaries the mission president selects. in our mission there is only 18 missionaries, not all missionaries will have it, only trusted ones. 3. sorry if I sound repetitive when i copy and pasted the same thing in forums. I just want to make known of the blog, we are encouraged to go to forums and link things to our blogs and mormon.org. the more followers i have to my blog the more, it will be seen on search engines and the more people will have to hear about the restored gospel. I know it sounds weird, Missionaries on facebook, it took me along time to get adjusted too. Everyone now days is on the internet, this is our way to get to those people and spread the word of the lord to a greater majority of people. P.s. this was Jeffrey R. Hollands Idea.
