i dont recommend posting such specific info online...what if a stalker or house burgler reads it? just because this is an LDS site, doesn't make it automatically safe?

btw...what's your credit card number and mothers maiden name? j/k

  2. We are about to fly to Utah in a few weeks! Any advice for flying with a 5 month old and nineteen momth old? We decided we are already out of our minds for attempting this!!!The total flight time is approx 6 hrs

no way for america west...horrible experience....midwest express is way roomy on all seats....also, don't forget mylacon drops.....flying can cause bad gas problems with infants....learned from experience....emergency room when 18 month daughter wouldnt stop crying for 4 hrs.....

  3. Jhn 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].

I have witnessed biblical type miracles. They still happen today as in bible days, In the mighty name of JESUS!

Ask and you shall recieve. Always give Him the glory!

I do absolutly give credit to Christ for he miracles he has worked in my life, and I know they are many. Like the time I had my motorcycle wreck...before helmet laws,...took place in front of a hospital with a dr on the sidewalk right there. nobody can convince me He wasn't looking out for me then, either.

  4. miracles....if you could talk to my mother, she would tell you i am her miracle baby. about 10 yrs ago, just before i turned 30, she told me a story.

i was born about a month or so premature, after my mother had had 3 stillborn boys before me. I was kept in an incubator for a while. during my first year, i was in the hospital several times with pneumonia. One time,(not sure exactly how old i was), the doctors told her i would not live thru the night. someone called Priesthood holders from church to give me a blessing. when they arrived, the hospital refused to take me out of the incubator, as they did not want to cause me to die. my mother had to argue with them for awhile, before they finally agreed, after she signed a release for them to do so. I was given a blessing, and put back in the incubator. The next morning, the doctor was amazed that there was NO SIGN of pnuemonia at all. and obviously, i lived.

Now then, I dont remember any of this myself, but when she told me this, i knew in my heart that it was a true testimony of the power of the Priesthood.

  5. i like this site a lot. i used to be a big fan of ldschat.com, but they changed ther chat format, and i like the old one better, around 2002. not important for me anymore, anyways, but kinda fond of the place since i met my wife there.

  6. Dear Jewel Stone

I can hear yah, it took a long time for myself and my family to get to the temple so I had years of people talking about the Temple liked it was Disney Land.

I heard the negative stuff too.

First take a deep breath and relaxes, your dress well, call your RS president and tell here.

Ask if she can find a sister willing to lone you a dress.

We were so broke we barrowed cloths but the G’s.

If you are going to big Temple, they have cloths for you to rent for the price of washing them. Cheep.

I wish someone had told me this before I went so I will tell you know.

Your initiatory, is beautiful listen to what the Temple worker says each word.

You will never forget it, it made me feel so special and new in a way.

The endowment can seem odd for you the first time though but and I mean this, fallow the spirit, its more feeling and promptings then any thing else.

You need to focus on how all of this applies to you and you alone.

Have a good friend who is a regularly attends the Temple so you can whisper in her ear and ask the questions you might have. I asked our Home Teacher and his wife so we could go as couples.

I only had to ask her one question, it is all very self-explanatory.

The Temple workers are right there for you, people who go for the first time are well looked after. They will answer all your questions.

Have a Wonderful Day. Don’t be surprised what time it is when you come out.

You know the saying Time fly’s. You will love it.

i can tell you that it is very wonderful experience, and that the adversary will try to keep you from going. usually you have someone with you that you know well to help you your first time thru, as a guide, etc. She can help you with things, and answer questions. I havent been to that particular temple yet, but it is a great thing to go.

  7. quote

"That's true, Josie. But we as LDS women in an LDS chat network, must be particularly aware that there may be some in the network who are here for ulterior purposes. I remember the old LDS chat...and how many men were hitting on women...amazing!"

the OLD LDSchat is where my wife and I met!!!

  8. wow....i guess i got a pretty good topic started...lol

seriously, tho...I think we are going to let my daughter start taking the sacrament, and we have started with having her learn about being reverent and sitting quietly until after sacrament has been passed. only then will she get to bring out her toys, etc

  9. My wife and I are struggling. We know children don't need the sacrament, as they are innocent until the age of accountability.

The problem: my wife doesn't want our almost 3 yr old to partake since she doesn't need it. I agree, but it is getting to be a struggle keeping her out of the trays as they are passed. My problem....I am afraid that my daughter will feel excluded as she sees all the other kids her age partaking. I am afraid she will think she is being punished, as she is too young to understand she doesn't need it.

    any suggestions?

  10. "At first tantrums stumped us. What was a natural consequence for losing your temper? In the past, we simply banned the children from the room or grounded them. With our new approach, however, we discovered a technique effective for any argument. “You wasted 30 minutes of my time and squandered 45 minutes of your dad’s time. Now you need to repay us.” The consequence? A list of jobs equal to the total length of tantrum time. We found it important that the chores be those parents normally did. Easy time-fillers negated the effect. Our children washed walls, cleaned baseboards, dusted bookshelves, and wiped down appliances."

Ok, so what do you do if the child refuses to do the prescribed consequence? ie; wont mop the floor?

    ROFL.....

Shhhhhh now every father will be pinching the babies..... ;)

my wife and i have been struggling with the thought of a 3rd child. we have been married 3 1/2 yrs. our daughter Lydia is almosr 3 and our son Scott is 4 months old. I am content with 2. My wife tells me Daisy keeps visiting her every time we lean toward the idea of stopping and me getting fixed. Both of her childbirths were extremely difficult, but resulted in2 wonderful children. I am alsoa SAHD at this time. no income no health insurance

She is having trouble looking at her and telling her we dont want her. I'm not sure about it, but I trust my wife's judgement. Well paint me blue and color me confused...... who is Daisy? I must have missed something somewhere :dontknow:

I think he's saying that 'Daisy' is a spirit child that visits them to persuade them to give her a body... just guessing though.

correct shantress, and sorry that wasn't clear to the rest. Yes, Daisy is a spirit child that visits my wife, who btw turns 38 friday. whenever we have doubts about wether we should have another, for a variety of different reasons, she shows up in my wifes dreams. As soon as we put off making a final decision she goes away...presumably to wait her turn to come here.
