Hpv Vaccine Given To Girls As Young As 9, Experts Suggest

That is a good point. I do not look forward to it, but in today's society it is important to let them know. hmm.. Then again, I was also thinking of locking her in the closet, and sliding pizza under the door until she was 18. -

Hpv Vaccine Given To Girls As Young As 9, Experts Suggest

I agree, it is an outrage. Our society has desensitized us to the point that it is acceptable. It makes me very worried about when my daughter hits that age. It seems that kids are experimenting a lot more than when I was their age. When I was 13 I did not even know what sex was I wonder if there is anyway I can keep my daughter in the infant stage she is in :) -
deazone - May I suggest you state the chapter and verse of these words above. Then others have something to actually look up when trying to answer your question. M. Oops, I had it in there originally I must have removed it while editing. It is D&C 84:21.

" 21 And without the ordinances thereof, and the authority of the priesthood, the power of godliness is not manifest unto men in the flesh; " Does "In the flesh" mean mortal body, or does it mean a sinful element. I think mortal body, but I am not sure.

What is the LDS book that you read? I am new to the Church, however, according to the Gospel Principles Jesus was once called Jehovah. "We needed a Savior to pay for our sins and teach us how to return to our Heavenly Father. Our Father said, "Whom shall I send?" (Abraham 3:27). Two of our brothers offered to help. Our oldest brother, Jesus Christ, who was then called Jehovah, said, "Here am I, send me" (Abraham 3:27)." http://www.lds.org/library/display/0,4945,11-1-13-6,00.html

Earlier today I had told someone that LDS were Christian, she replied: "I grew up in SW Idaho, second only to Utah in Mormon population, so I do know a thing or two about the religion. I was a Baptist at the time and one of less than a few dozen kids in my high school of 600 who were not Mormons. And they did NOT want to be called "Christians", because that label belonged to apostates and as such was not fitting for the true religion. It's only been in more recent years that I've seen Mormons want to be called Christians. Not making any judgment on this either way, but I've found it quite interesting. I've wondered what changed." So now I am confused, Were LDS were instructed to state we are not Christians? If so when were we told to state such a thing and why? I am new to the Church and had always assumed (and now know) Mormon = Christian, and can not understand why a Mormon would deny being called a Christian to this person. I think she might be embellishing her story a bit. Thanks

It was a seed of faith that brought me here. While looking for answers of various questions I turned to the religious for answers. The kindest of the religious people were LDS so I decided to pursue knowledge from them. There is a lot of anti-lds sites on the web, most of them are other denominations, some of them from former Mormons who have become intensely bitter over their previous religion. For me, finding a site that is LDS friendly is like finding an oasis in a desert, I am not looking for reasons not to believe I have gone that rout and have grown tired of it. So while searching for a forum that could answer a few questions that I have, and not having those answers being fear hell, Religion is illogical, etc, etc. While searching Google, I found this place. I am impressed for the most part, although, there seems to be more non lds than lds here though. I have not posted very often, most of the answers I am looking for have been answered by the missionaries. I stick around for inspirational stories, or when I am searching for a question that has already been asked.

Going To A Meetinghouse For The First Time.
Deazone replied to Deazone's topic in General Discussion
My wife, daughter, and I attended the Sacrament together. It was a moving experience one that I have not felt for many years. I was impressed with everyone I met; they were all considerate, and friendly to me. Unfortunately, my wife felt very uncomfortable and wished to leave after the Sacrament, but I opted to stay. I am glad that I did. The Gospel was Chapter 18 if I remember correctly, and corresponded with faith, I found a lot of truths in what was discussed, and anything I did not understand was explained to me by a missionary. The next hour in priesthood, I spoke mainly to the Missionary regarding the BOM. I was then invited to another LDS’s house for dinner. It is unfortunate that my wife felt so uncomfortable, because I think she missed out on a lot of fun. She says she will go with me again next Sunday, so I hope that she feels a little more relaxed. I think I may find the faith I have lost many years ago. I thank you all for your advice, it has proved invaluable. -

Thank you Mbass, Thank you for the information regarding the mother's lounge. Unfortunately they do not have the Ward located on lds.org mormon.org has it listed but, there is no phone number. It does state though that the Worship Service is at 10:00 a.m, and the Congregation First is at 10:00 a.m. Anyone know what the "Congregation First" means? Here is the link to the ward I will be attending I think they mean the same thing, am I wrong on this? Anyways we know it is there because we drove past it a few days ago :) -

Thank you SaraMaree, Unfortunately, I could not locate their phone number. Thank you for the dress code information :). I need to go purchase a tie, but otherwise have it covered. It is good to know I can bring my baby, and thanks for the advice as for seating arrangements. I really am new at this so this is valuable information. -
My wife and I have located a Meetinghouse, and plan on going next weekend. Am I allowed to take my 11-week old daughter with me? What should we wear? Is it casual wear? Is there any other information you think I might find useful? I was a young teenager since I last attended a Church so I am in the dark about everything. Thanks :)

Hi, My name is Jeff, I am currently agnostic, however, interested in acquiring more knowledge about LDS. I have had Mormon friends in the past but never have spoken about their religion with them. I do know that they were all some of the nicest people I have ever known. Life is pretty complicated, my wife and I have just had our first child, her name is Carliegh. I want to raise her with some direction and purpose in life and to be around good people. I was raised a Roman Catholic and remained so until I was 16, I became agnostic shortly afterward and was an Atheist for a long time. While posting questions on Yahoo answers I have started to question my own beliefs, I still have my doubts about God, but I am not perfect in my knowledge and want to explore any possibility of him existing. I find that the Mormons are more in line of my style of thinking, at least from what I know of them.
