  1. In a ward building in Logan, Utah there is a huge mural depicting the pioneers directly behind the pulpit! It is a hand painted mural and quite exquisitely done too, but it's a bit distracting! I lived there while attending college and my wife and I went to that ward.
  2. I can somewhat relate to your feelings about people always wanting to get the person who isn't to church back to church! I had a middle aged man while on my mission who would come to church but his wife wouldn't. After about a month of us constantly nagging him(I was a new missionary at that point so I didn't know any better) he finally said something that I would never forget- "Look Elder I AM HERE, have you ever thought I may be someone who needs your help too?" Your parents are going to make their decisions probably without much if any input from you. I really think you need to help the members of your ward understand that you need support and prayers as much as your parents do. It's hard to do something on your own, especially with no support at home. Find someone to lean on and know that things will get better.
  3. No, but I heard a story of an older lady that turned down a calling cause she was too busy writing the missionaries every week.
  4. A saying posted in my office- There's so much good in the worst of us And so much bad in the best of us That it's hard to say which one of us should reform the rest of us!
  5. I am obviously new to this thread. I joined because I think I can be a help to someone on this site and I know that someone may in turn be able to help me when needed. I have been through ALOT of stuff! I have been through some horrible stuff in relation to the church and I have been through some miraculous stuff. I really believe that I have been at both ends of the spectrum when it comes to membership. Having said that, I believe that, sometimes through my own stupidity, I have enough experience to be able to share it! I am from Utah and was born into the church. Served a mission and got married in the temple to a wonderful woman. Life has NOT always been peachy! I am here to help and be helped!
