  1. Wowzers...

Did my Aunt's work for her in 2009.... My grandmother died a few weeks ago...

Just anxious to get them sealed... We wanted to get it done while my grandmother was still alive but she injured herself & was not able to get to the Temple while my sister was visiting....

Was so hoping that because she was a member that I would not need to wait that year... But alas.. Looks like I will have to wait :(

  2. Does anyone know how long it takes on average for church records to reflect on newfamilysearch after the death of a member??

And does the waiting a year after death still apply if the most recent death was an active, Temple attending member?

    Any help would be appreciated..

  3. If I had taken this kind of activity to my Bishop to get approved he would most likely have approved it without even giving it a second thought.

Firstly you want to have activities that the sisters will actually want to come to.

I think that people are reading too much into that quote by Sis Beck.

My Bishop is very concerned about unity amoung the sisters in my ward.. So we plan acitivities that would hopefully help with this..

We also plan acitivties that sisters have shown an interest in in the survey they did last year.

I think that your RS Pres, you and your Bishop need to actually sit down together & he needs to tell you what he approves of etc.

  4. There are a few websites that you can find some great quotes on.. Just can't remember them offhand though..

You could try LDS - Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Mormons I am sure that she will have some links to other websites you can try as well..

You could also go onto The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and do a search on past Conference Priesthood sessions. I am sure that you will find some great ones from there :)

    Good luck

  5. I would Susie, but the cost to get there is astronomical. $2600/person, and there would be 3 of us, so sorry. I will however be watching as much as I can, much to my wife's displeasure.

I will be cheering for England (Canada hasn't been there since the early 80's) and maybe even Italy again, but I don't think that either will win it. Italy should get further than England though.

I am willing to wait until it is cheaper for a visit ;):P

  6. I think they just call them "specialists" or something like that now.. (shrugs) As long as I have one.. hehe...With me starting to study this year there is no way that I can do it all myself... Our idea behind this though is to involve as many sisters as posible... For our Christmas meeting we had a great attendance & found that this was mostly because many who don't usually come during the year were given assignments & felt obligated to attend... Whatever works I guess.. hehe

I can send you an example of some classes you might like if you want :)
