  1. 9 out of 10. That last one got me. I hadn't studied, but I was under the impression that because of the mist of temptation, the only path you could see while lingering in that mist was the spacious building of Satan's angels. If you followed them too far, you would eventually meet with the river, which distinguishes wickedness. I should study more, I s'pose.
  2. I had a teacher who was obsessed with frogs too, never really figured that one out. As for colors, I'd have to say my favorite would be cerulean. It's very unheard of, but it's such a unique and calming shade of blue, it just hits me. Food, hehe, I'll eat about anything. If you've ever eaten from a Mexican chain/restaurant known as 'Chipotle', I absolutely slave over those burritos. You could get me to build a pyramid if that were my reward (you'd owe me a LOT of burritos though). Also a big fan of Italian and Chinese, both depending on the mood my stomach is in. Anything that has marinara and mozzerella has got my vote. Or spicy Mexican. Or French. Or...well, back to the about anything option. What about you? Oh, and here's a random one. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
  3. The Twins are really good here. Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, and Johan Santana are becoming household names. (the three J's) You should send over one of those cinnamon rolls too. I'm like, addicted to those, lol. Anyways, right now I've got Geometry Honors, Gym/Health, Spanish II, and American Concepts Honors. Later on I'm looking forward to taking Sports Medicine and Marketing I. Sports medicine for obvious reasons, and our Intro to Business class was really interesting, so I'm curious about Marketing. Sounds fun to me, for some reason. Animal, huh? Well, the penguin's always been a close favorite, but I like just the general canine too. Wolves, dogs, all that, they're just awesome.
  4. You and my sister have similar taste, music-wise. Interests, during any season sports mainly occupy my open time. Actually, sports seasons are when I come online a lot more too. But when I get the time, like in the summer, I'll normally start off my day by rollerblading 10-20 miles. It's like a highlight for me, not a workout, I LOVE skating. Then I'll normally clown around with my friends, whether it's playing street hockey, going to a movie, going cliff-jumping, whatever works. That'll normally wrap up right before a soccer game though, I play a lot of soccer in the summer. And, you probably noticed from before that I'm a music addict. I must have close to...700 songs on my iPod. What about you? Oh, and what kind of classes do you have this year? (my turn to pull the question trigger )
  5. Wake up early. I'm not one for walking, but I've woken early to jog and inline skate, and the feeling can't be beat. Skiing or snowboarding?
  6. Yeah, I'm a sophomore too. Hm, music. I listen to a lot actually. As far as favorites go, I'm a sucker for rock and techno. There are very few bands in the area that actually "connect" with the spirit, but a lot of the ones I listen to I'm sure are fine with it. They tend to be bands nobody's ever heard of too, lol: Jason Mraz, LCD Soundsystem, The Postal Service, Celldweller, Sixx:AM, DJ Tiesto, Anberlin, A7X, Finch, yeah... I could go on for quite some time. What about you?
  7. Lol, so do I! Being one of the few members in the church can be troublesome, but I also consider it a blessing. I really have a long-term trial to keep myself pure with the worldy pressure around me, and the more I endure, the more blessings I come to realize. Plus, there are several kids who don't even know what the church is about, and it's really neat explaining. I have one kid in my history class who has 2-3 questions for me every day about the church. So it's a great pre-missionairy experience. And yes, I love my sports, I wouldn't know how to go on if it weren't for them. That's too bad to hear about your situation, though, maybe you should truly ask your mother earnestly to let you play again, have her talk to a doctor. or praying works too! (well, wait. Is your knee injury permanent?) My mom almost didn't let me play hockey last year, since after getting hit hard I got a concussion where I was unconcious for about five minutes. Lucky thing she wasn't there --she heard about it over the phone-- otherwise I might've been in the same situation as you. Are there a lot of members your age where you live?
  8. Hello Douglas! :) That's so great to hear that you're on your path to conversion. It's a process everyone has to go through, even us who are born into an LDS family. Hopefully everything will result the way it sounds it going, in eventual baptism. I'm certain the Lord is pleased with you right now. You'll be in my prayers, as long as you keep saying them as well.
  9. Hey Kelsey, I'm Eric. :) I could go thoroughly introduce you to myself here, but if you look at my introductory thread, it really says it all, lol. Anyways, welcome! The Youth Boards may be quiet at the time, from what it seems like (I haven't been here long either), but hopefully it'll pick up sooner or later.
  10. From sea to shining sea. To be...or not to be?!
  11. Hm...I'll go with Star Wars. The macarena or the electric slide?
  12. I'd have to take the resort, but only by a thin line. ;-) Scuba-diving in the Pacific or touring Europe?
  13. Welcome! I missed my chance to return the favor of being the first to invite you, since my sister had some homework to finish. Either way, another welcome from a new member!
  14. Hey. I'm a member of the church from Minnesota, currently a sophomore in High School. I've been in plenty of forums actually, mainly for writing and inline skating groups, but one day I thought I'd see if there was an online forum for the church, and here I am! Little bit about myself: I'm an all out athlete, I made Varsity soccer for the first time year, hopefully Varisty hockey when that comes, and I'll be running track one more year, before I either switch to lacrosse or use the spring time to get a job. I am also only a couple minutes off of being a professional inline skater based on marathon time, so hopefully I'll get myself a sponsor and a team soon enough! :-) However, I have the same "fire" for the church as I do sports, I incorporate it into my everyday life, and cannot be happier to say so. I love our church, and learning about it. It can be hard, being 1 out of 5 LDS members in a large high school, but it's worth it! So, that wraps up a lengthy intro. I hope I'm not out of place here! :-P
