It's Easy to Please a Child

I brought my daughter the kind of doll

a parent is proud to bring

She opened her toy

with cries of joy

..... and played all day with the string!

She said she wanted to build a house

so I got her a set of blocks

The present I guess,

was a great success

.... she built a house with the box!

Because it hurt to see her weep

when I made an issue of it

I bought her a game

and when it came

..... she played with the tissue of it!
