This is just a little something-something from my blogs because I need/would like some advice. :)

Anyways, on Monday my Dad tells me that he is seeing someone.

Lovely.

So I met the "New" girlfriend & her daughter tonight.

Joy.

It was okay.

My Dad asks me on tonight if I would like to go to the fair on Sunday with them.

I said maybe.

He thinks I said YES!

No, no.

I said maybe because I wanted to spend the day with my Mom because I'll be back and forth this weekend.

HE FLIPS OUT!

Seriously.

He is playing the oh so lovely guilt card of "Wht can't you spend four hours with us on Sunday?"

I told him because I have been living with you for the past two weeks!

He's mad. I'm crying because I don't like people mad at me.

not fun.

I think I have cried so much this past week I could make my own river.

But seriously,

What should I say to him to make him listen?

P.S there will be more details in the blog post. I skipped over some good ones Hehe

never ever say maybe when you mean no. you should only say maybe if it is leaning to the heavily yes area. It isn't fair to say maybe to someone if you mean no. How would you feel if you had asked your dad to do something that was super important to you and he said maybe and then no? Saying maybe with no intention of saying yes is actually cowardly. It means that you are going to do what you want to do, but you don't want to have to deal with the consequences of telling someone no. I REALLY hate it when parents or grandparents tell children maybe when they mean no.
