Why yes, yes it could.

Paranoia is an irrational fear. Nothing in wonder's post suggests that he fears anything. Even if he did (which is a stretch), do you claim that anti-mormons don't make it unpleasant for Mormons? Or maybe you think they don't have the right to hold non-disruptive discussions, but that wouldn't make them paranoid. Can you think of a better word? I bet you can.

If anti-mormons are so bad and so feared, then they obviously know some truths we don't. Why not hear them out and figure out where they are wrong, rather than believe them to be wrong in the first place? Denying yourself access to knowledge kind of hurts you in the long run, don't you think?

Riiiiiiiight. Because, as we all know, anybody who is "so bad and feared" must always be right. Just like Hitler and the SS. Those Jews should have tried harder to understand Hitler and his vision.
