Franken Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 Hey so I've just been looking into a few things lately about college, leadership roles in business, and how important it can be and am looking to develop that skill. I'm looking for a good, fundraising/charity project to organize for a state wide or local organization that in some way aims to better the life of our cititzens (sp?). This isn't for any sort of scout thing or what not, what I'm really aiming for in this, is to develop leadership abilities by on site experience, and believe it would do a college application good. So with that being said, does anyone have any service oriented, charity ideas on a large scale for the spring of next year? I'm looking for any possible ideas that would gain support of citizens state wide ranging from as far as a cure for a disease to most anything that aims to better the life of American Citizens. Along with any sort of idea, it would also be very helpful in supporting the program backboned with a cause to a certain individual/group. Anyways, this is all something new to me, but I really want to try it out, and make it work. Any input is appreciated! Quote
DisRuptive1 Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 Why don't you figure out something that is slightly irksome with society or with something about society and fix it. Like invent something. Do you know why street lights were made? Because cars would run into each other at the crossings. Do you know why speakers systems were made? Because people in the back row couldn't hear the guy talking. Here's an idea. Why don't you make a phone that doesn't have that nasty noise when you hang it up. That kkkck sound when it's hung up. That would be cool! Or how about you design a rubix cube, but instead of putting the colors on using glue (which kids are going to peel off anyways) use magnets so kids can take the colors off and reattach them if they ever want to start over.
