AngelLynn Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Has anyone bought a copy of The Scriptures on CD-ROM Product Details ( The Scriptures: CD-ROM Edition 1.1. )It's looks like a really good program, and I am just wondering will it work on Vista alright. Although I know there is compatiblity mode. I am just wondering. And I am also wondering is it fairly easy to use as well. Quote
Hemidakota Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Actually, the best program I have seen was done back in the 90s was LDS Library. They now release version 2009. You will find if you are into software programming is the search engine [infoBase], which I gladly borrowed for the many archive articles, electronic books, and other data I retain over many years of being in the church. We have no excuse in not being more brilliant than the previous Saints in our quest of searching truths and learning. We have at our fingertips excessive amount of technology platforms, which I am grateful for the Lord has given us in this last days. LDS Library 2009 version 7.0 Quote

But I do love the fact that having all the info of the Gospel on CD-ROM is truely a wonderful thing. Quote
Hemidakota Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 If my memory serves me right, it is a 16-bit software. If that is the case, then it won't work for Vista. Vista is still back capable with 32-bit XP software and but adds in the latest 64-bit software. Quote
AngelLynn Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 Well I bought it crossed my fingers and installed it. It works. Although I put it in compatiblity mode to work with Vista but in compatiblity to work with XP. I haven't done much with it though so no idea if there will be any crashes or anything else but so far so good. Quote
