Guest tomk Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 I've been recording movies ( WMV format ) with my new webcam. I need some good, easy to use, FREE video editing software. Any recommendations? Quote

gabelpa Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 Any Linux boxeslying around? If so, try out Kino, it's pretty basic. then there's film-gimp,and the ultimate, Cinellera, The last is a heavy-hitting product that may be overkill. Quote
Rico Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 VirtualDub Just do a search for it. It's a very simple program with no unneeded bells and whistles. You are technically inclined a little bit so you will appreciate the frame by frame editing capability of it. You will also appreciate being able to save it in just about any format, including Divx. I love the filters that it has. I can make a very dark webcam recording very bright without a lot of hassles. The program is completely free and open source and best of all, it's a very small download. (Nothing to install, it just comes in a zip file). If you need to edit videos then you need to have VirtualDub on your computer. Quote
