mom2onefornow Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Hello everyone, I'm Rachel. I've been married almost 7 years and have a 5 year-old son. My husband has been a member all his life but hasn't attended church much. I'm a convert, was baptised 10 years ago and then shortly after that became inactive. Lately I've really been feeling like I should be going to church. I've talked to my husband about it and he doesn't seem at all interested in going. I'm willing to go alone or with just my son but we've moved to a new town since the last time we attended church and I'm not sure which ward we're supposed to belong to now. There are 3 churches in our area and all of them have several wards that meet there. How do I go about finding out which ward we are in? Also, I don't have any of my membership information and I'm not sure which ward has that information. Would the ward I attended when I was baptised have that? Quote
WillowTheWhisp Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Its a bit simpler here in the UK where I live a we don't have so many Wards. I dont suppose it would hurt to just go along to the nerest chapel and take it from there. If you should geographically belong to another Ward I'm sure they could sort that out for you. Quote
Madriglace Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Go to LDS.org ...they have a meeting house locator ... you just put in your address and they tell you where you should be going and all the info you need to get started in your new ward. It will even tell you who your bisjhop is. If you don't know where your records are be sure and let the Bishop know you are there and where your last ward was or maybe the one where you were baptised ... the one where you last remember hearing your records read in. Follow the promptings you are receiving and take your little one. Your example may help your husband find his way home .... you are making the right choice ... welcome home! Quote
