Isn't it argued that the earliest Christians actually believed the end of the world to be within their lifetime, based on some interpretations of the Bible?  And when it failed to happen, we ended up with an organized church?

I'm sure JS learned from that mistake, and did not predict the end of the world to be in his lifetime.

Its much easier to get people to follow you if you are vague about your predictions.

I'm inclined to agree with Proud Duck: read the bloody passage!

(Remember: the "twist", as a dance, went out with the early 1960s!)

(Or, in short, do you do the "twist" often?)

(Finally, this is not sarcasm: I despise sarcasm and therefore have "marked" those two or three who are sarcastic, at this board. So, please don't miscontrue what I am saying).
