So I've haven't gone to the temple yet(I'm a recent convert to the Church) and I was planning on going to it for the first time on my wards next temple trip! The temple we go to doesn't have temple clothing available to rent. I was wondering what was suitable for a girl to wear to temple. I know it has to be white, but are there any stipulations on it. Mahonri Posted August 29, 2009 Report Share Posted August 29, 2009 You wear your Sunday clothes to the temple, and if you are doing Baptisms you need something modest that won't show through when wet, as well as a new change of underwear and probably a towel. tubaloth Posted August 29, 2009 Report Share Posted August 29, 2009 (edited) Like others have said, it kind of depends on what you are going to DO at the temple. Baptisms for the dead (usually the first thing a convert does). You get the actual baptism clothes in the temple. Its some jump suit that you wear. They also provide some basic underware. Usually the only thing you need to bring is maybe some brush or combe to kind of fix up after you are done. I assume this is what you mean. Anything else you would need to go through for yourself. Like Endoments you would go through for yourself and by that time, you probably want to buy the white clothing. The first time you go through is exceptionally special. If you have a chance. Do a little genealogy and take some family names with you to do.
