pam Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I guess you guys are just too old and crusty to understand my new hipster language. Get with the times moldy ones As John Doe said..I don't need to understand the new hipster language when it comes to sacred things. It's highly inappropriate and frankly I didn't appreciate being called old, crusty and moldy. Quote

eternalpromise516 Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 (edited) thank you all so much for the wonderful wishes! and it's *OFFICIAL* that i'm going tonight as of 8pm EST, lil EP is now an official Temple-Recommend totin Mormon :p LOL i'm literally on cloud nine right now. the bishop said something very touching to me, and this is it in a very tight nutshell, that those who i'm going to be doing the work for and will do future work for, will be one day looking me up in Heaven and letting me know how eternally grateful they are to me for being worthy and loving them and loving Heavenly Father enough that i did that for them....and i almost started bawling right there, but i reined those bad puppies in then as i was walking out of the office, it was like i was floating when i was walking..AH!!! then, the last missionary of the pair that was the ones here for my lessons/baptism, and stood in on my confirmation, said is that a temple recommend i see?!?! when i was standing with another girl and started chatting me up, and he's almost more excited than i am! he wants me to take a load of pictures either before or after we're done and before we leave and post them and get him copies... so...now i'm alternating between being euphorically happy, crying a little, and touching my recommend to make sure it's actually REAL, like that i could be dreaming right now. i'm so excited, and i don't know if i was this happy/excited when i was baptized! thank you guys again SO much for everything :) i will be sure to post some pictures when i return and give a full report :) Edited October 22, 2009 by eternalpromise516 Quote

eternalpromise516 Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 Yes I have as a matter of fact! I didn't get to meet them personally, but they came down back in September on two consecutive weekends when our ward had three more people being baptized! They both seemed very nice. Quote

pam Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 I know Darwin..errrr..President Sorenson. He is the VP of the company I used to work for. They have given him a 3 year leave of absence for his calling as mission president. Quote
Guest Godless Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Okay, I'm stumped. The name Sorenson sounds verrry familiar. Why is that? Is he one of those famous Mormons? Or perhaps related to one? Quote
eternalpromise516 Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 Wow, ok. Small world! Btw, I'm TOTALLY baking you some awesomely decorated (and delicous I might add!) gingerbread men for Xmas this year! Quote

eternalpromise516 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Posted October 23, 2009 today's the day the session is at 6:30, so i'm guesstimating about 1-2 hours at the most, then we'll stop somewhere like Wendy's for a quick dinner, then back up to home. i'll post a report either tonight when i get back or tomorrow afternoon/evening after the football game :) Quote
eternalpromise516 Posted October 28, 2009 Author Report Posted October 28, 2009 sorry i didn't get back to post a response about my trip sooner, but i've been crazy busy and sick... anyways, my first trip to the temple was nothing short of.... FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!! there were a total of 64 women's names in addition to the men that one of the YSA reps brought with him, so i was baptized for a number of women from one family, along with one lady who's name when i heard it, i had to bite my lip and not laugh, was Minnie L. Toot i had the ordinance workers who were assigned to the baptistry that night really amazed and happy that i was already in the temple after only being a member for 4 months. i already can't wait to go back :) the youth from my ward are doing an early morning session at 7:30 on saturday, but i'm not going on this one, as i'm going to stay and hang out with my family. so..that's it :) i was only able to take three pictures, two when we got there/were driving to the parking lot, and then one as we were leaving. i'll put those in my gallery :) Quote
StallionMcBeastly Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Congrats sounds like a great time. Quote
