superdad69 Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 I just want everyone here to know I have never been treated so badly in all my life. I made a site that apparently upset some people. Upon trying to find out exactly what it was that upset them and DELETE the material I was called names and verbally abused by one your your members. I have never been treated so bad in all my life. I am a combat veteran and a single father of 2 girls who I have custody of. I raise them ALONE. I am also a police officer in Memphis Tn. This has been the most unpleasant experience in all my life
BenRaines Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 No excuse for it but I would suggest next time superdad that you come and get to know us a little before suggesting that we all go to a site to be attacked for our beliefs by insulting video and perhaps get to know a little about what or why we believe before attacking our religion or religion in general. I in FACT deleted the material that was "offensive" immediately!! Go look! It's gone!! I never meant to offend anyone. In fact my wife and I stayed up all night trying to make it less offensive just last night! I swear that! You can call and ask. I am genuinely interested in why people believe what they believe. I have Admins on my site just as this one does. As soon as I was told what was posted was offensice I took it down IMMEDIATELY!! I even wrote if anything else offends you PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Then I was delete it!!

I have the agency to choose not to listen, read etc. Or to engage in debate over points of view. Each human has unique filters we filter information through. What can be fine for one is offensive to another. I try to look at how it is presented and why. Then base by viewpoint with those filters. I cannot have an informed opinion on what has happened to you since I was not involved. People can be very passionate about their point of view and ready to defend it even to the point of inappropriate. From the way you have posted I have to assume you have had a very bad experience from some people. I am sorry that has happened for you. I would be interested in glancing at your site if you honestly wish feedback. Send me a link if you wish. I will give you an opinion without being offended. But realize someone will be offended about something no matter what is posted. I admire you for trying to raise a family on your own. I have a wife and can't keep up with her with our three children so I can't imagine doing it on your own. I hope you find peace and joy in life and with whatever spiritual guidance you rely on.
