pam Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 This is getting really serious now. Chargers need a win over the Titans to get the bye week during the playoffs. Or a Patriots loss. Denver isn't out of the playoff picture yet. If they can win their next two games they get a playoff spot. But the Eagles will be tough. So sorry Relentless I have to say this..Go Eagles!!!! Ravens need to beat the Steelers to tie them in the division. So go Ravens!!! Quote
Guest Godless Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Actually, we'd be tied if the Steelers win. We'd still hold the tie-breaker though since they lost a game to the Browns. It's the Dolphins and Jaguars that I'll be worried about if we lose next week. That Raiders game is going to be a tough one to prepare for as well, since we have no idea how many quarterbacks we'll be facing. Quote
rameumptom Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 How are the Colts doing? Oh yeah! They are already in the playoffs with field advantage.... Saints too. Quote
Relentless Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Saints don't have home field throughout yet... Quote

I was actually thinking of the Bengals when I said Steelers. My bad on that one. Quote
pam Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 How are the Colts doing? Oh yeah! They are already in the playoffs with field advantage.... Saints too. Let us not forget about a certain team that went to the Superbowl 16-0 and failed to win the big one. May I also remind you that the Chargers have beat the Colts the last 2 years in the playoffs. 3rd time is a charm right? Quote
pam Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 That Raiders game is going to be a tough one to prepare for as well, since we have no idea how many quarterbacks we'll be facing. Too funny..but true. Quote
Relentless Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Might I also remind you that the Chargers are on their 3rd NT this season? That their Oline has given up 2 1/2 times the sacks that the Colts has (10 to 24)? Quote
pam Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 Hey I'm allowed to talk smack...that's what makes it fun. hahaha Quote
Relentless Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I know, but I am not in the position to talk smack on bealf of my own team... Quote
pam Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 Well I'm all about my team..but not so much that if they happen to lose it's the end of the world. I've known people like that and it really is sad. Quote
Relentless Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Thats good to know. I would hate to think that WHEN the Chargers lose this offseason, it would be the end of anyone's world. I mean, they have NO Superbowl wins EVER. So if I were a fan, i wouldn't let my hopes hinge on them EVER winning a Superbowl. But that's just me Quote
pam Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 Spoken like a true Broncos fan. But that's okay. I still like ya. Quote
phatbac Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 I hated week 16 football. as a Redskins fan i wanted to vomit. I hate football right now, it makes me sad Quote
Guest Godless Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 I feel for ya, dude. You know a game is going badly when the fans would rather drive home on poorly-plowed roads than watch the whole thing. That team has a lot of potential, but too many problems to put it to good use. Quote
pam Posted December 25, 2009 Author Report Posted December 25, 2009 Go Chargers against the Titans today!!! Quote
pam Posted December 26, 2009 Author Report Posted December 26, 2009 Well that was a totally one sided game. But hey...got the Chargers a first round bye. Quote
Guest Godless Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Wow, that Ravens game was a good one! We would've had them if it weren't for all those penalties. But we should still be safe since the Broncos lost. And congrats to the Chargers for clinching the first-round bye! Quote
Guest Godless Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Hmm, some sources still have the Broncos in the Wild Card slot, even though the Ravens hold the head-to-head tie-breaker.Also, I thought this was funny.Ten straight wins for the surging Chargers, and now they can afford to rest banged-up players in a meaningless finale.REMAINING OPPONENT: Washington Quote
pam Posted December 28, 2009 Author Report Posted December 28, 2009 Thanks Godless..I'm pulling for your team as well. I just hope the Chargers don't let Washington beat them. How degrading would that be even if it doesn't mean anything. lol Quote
rameumptom Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I think the Colts had a meaningless finale yesterday. If you are going to lose a game, why play your first string for the first 3 quarters and in the lead, only to give it all up in the final quarter? Quote
pam Posted December 28, 2009 Author Report Posted December 28, 2009 Perhaps the head coach didn't want to be jinxed and have the same thing happen to his team that happened to the Patriots before. Quote
