Before or After the Creation?

Perhaps it is just late and I am tired, but I cannot seem to find the answer to this anywhere in my head...

When we participated in the Council in Heaven and first heard about the Plan of Redemption, had the Earth been created at that time (either in its spiritual or physical form)?

I don't have a reference but I have always believed that the Council in Heaven was before the creation of the place we know of as Earth.

That is kind of along the lines with my way of thinking, but I wasn't sure.

The Earth was created after the council.

Abraham 3

22 Now the Lord had shown unto me, Abraham, the intelligences that were organized before the world was; and among all these there were many of the noble and great ones;

it had to be before or immediately or else where would satan have been cast after the war in heaven?
