Richard G. Scott - Sunday am session

Recommended Posts

Easter is that sacred season when the heart of Christians turn to our Beloved Savior.

Christ has risen from the dead with healing in his wings. How we all need that healing.

We as LDS can understand the healing effect because we have the fullness of His doctrine.

Scriptures of atonement must be more than just a memorization, they must become a part of our very being.

Christ has the capacity to love more than can ever be expressed by the human tongue.

The Savior's atonement permits us to repent of any disobedience.

Three challenges Savior experienced:

1. Enormous sense of responsibility

2. In his absolute pure mind and heart, he had to personally feel the consequences that all mankind would encounter.

3. He had to endure the vicious attack of Satan's horde.

The most important calling for time and for all eternity is the role of father and mother.

When the Savior is the center of your home there is a sense of peace and serenity.

This talk had me in tears as Elder Scott described the abandoment the Savior felt from the Father even though he never truly was abandoned. The Father had to let him endure this on His own to fulfill that part of the plan.
