Aristotle Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Yeah yeah and all those folks in prison really are as innocent as they say.....Yes, some prisoners are wrongfully imprisoned. And some people are falsely accused.
Guest MrsS Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 There you go again. Jumping to erroneous conclusions and ARGUING. Aristotles, why are you so defensive? I never named names ~ I used the broadest form of generalities that I could. You both do this way too often. Finnan, this is your post; why have you not interjected way before this and redirected the topics? For goodness sakes ~ stop with the bitter, contentious, back biting and talk nice. Back to topic Finnan; do you feel that this article is for real? I don't know why I feel that it isn't. Perhaps I am hoping against hope that it isn't. Seems to me that they would have just killed her and not bothered with a trial. Doesn't her father have that 'right' ~ or am I way off base on that?
Aristotle Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Aristotles, why are you so defensive? I never named names ~ I used the broadest form of generalities that I could. You both do this way too often. This is your statement: "Those of you who are LDS, really are the worst. I am surprised by your un-Christ like attitudes."As a member of the LDS Church, your remark doesn't resemble me. ;-)If you make blanket statements which are untrue and unfounded, then you should expect that those who do not fit your mold will respond accordingly!
Guest Syble Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 <div class='quotemain'>http://www.faithfreedom.org/Announcement/601081013.htmNazanin, 17, was sentenced to death by hanging for defending herself against three rapists. A young girl who defended herself and her chastity against three male assailants who intended to kidnap and rape her causing injury to one of them who later died in hospital was condemned to death by hanging in an Islamic court in Iran. Nazanin who has seen no more than 17 Springs, all of which under the tyrannical rule of the Mullahs is now facing execution for trying to defend herself and her honor. Interesting article and insight into how things operate in the Middle East.I really am confused here. The topic is: Replying to Iran: A 17 year old girl is sentenced to death by hanging. She protected herself from two rapists and killed one of them. Why then are you all on a different topic? And arguing, and being rather nasty to each other? Those of you who are LDS, really are the worst. I am surprised by your un-Christ like attitudes. That was one of the reasons I waited for nearly two months before I joined this board. You were so curt, nasty, and disrespectful to each other. Then you all started to behave yourselves. Now you are back at it again. Even Primary age children have better manners than you all have. Get back to the topic ~ I feel such dread for her. You know help is not going to get to her soon enough. It seems rather lame to say: she is going to a better place. Yet it is true ~ plus she will suffer a lot before that. Then again, I wonder if this story really is true ~ or is it just a hoax?It seems that you are being the really nasty and rude one here. And you, are you LDS? If not it would explain your biased and unkind opinion. Get back on topic yourself and if you don't like what others are posting, be a big enough person to by pass their posts and post on topic according to your superior non-LDS character.Geeze!
Aristotle Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Rah! Rah! Rah! WoooooHooooo! You go sister!!!

You have been contentious in nearly all of the posts that I have read.As has the Aristotles. contentious: adj 1: inclined or showing an inclination to dispute or disagree, even to engage in law suits; "a style described as abrasive and contentious"; "a disputatious lawyer"; "a litigious and acrimonious spirit" [syn: disputatious, disputative, litigious] 2: involving or likely to cause controversy; "a central and contentious element of the book"- Tim W.Ferfuson 3: having or showing a ready disposition to fight; "bellicose young officers"; "a combative impulse"; "a contentious nature" [syn: battleful, bellicose, combative]Fiannan, I apologize for taking your topic even more off topic. I quit this board/topic.
Aristotle Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 On my profile I have stated that I am LDS ~ as for biased and unkind opinion. bi·as n.'MrsS'...you are way off "bias" here. Again I state that you, Syble, the Aristotles, & Jason tend to post: snip> curt, nasty, and disrespectful <snip>posts. That is fact. That is false (in regard to Syble and I). :)I ask: Are you Syble, & the Aristotles LDS? You certainly don't come across as such! Syble, you have the superior character. You have been contentious in nearly all of the posts that I have read. As has the Aristotles. The correct English is: "As have the Aristotles" (plural)... another falsehood! How, exactly, are LDS supposed to come across? We have been taught to be meek...not weak.If you're lookin' for a cat fight, sister, you can keep on lookin'!

You are outrageous, and have very little to contribute to this thread except putting others into a nice neat little pigeon hole where you yourself belongs.Dance all you want, it doesn't change the fact that you have come here telling us what you expect from us as LDS. That doesn't shake with me. You need to get off your pushy bottom and go do the laundry or something because you certainly aren't cutting your biass out of the pictures you are painting of yourself.

I have not responded nastily to anyone except those who do nothing but slap people around.I guess if I am making enemies of those who are already rude and critical, I am not out anything am I?
Guest MrsS Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 How, exactly, are LDS supposed to come across?<div align="center">THE ARTICLES OF FAITHOF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS</div>History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541 1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. 2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression. 3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. 4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. 5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the fordinances thereof. 6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth. 7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, evisions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth. 8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated ccorrectly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. 9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. 10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal gglory. 11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. 12 We believe in being subject to bkings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. 13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.Joseph Smith

When are you going to start practicing your religion on this board?Would you like me to remind you of the post you posted against me and Ari as an attack or can you remember your sins?
