This morning we went to Delft [in the Netherlands] to see that historic and beautiful and attractive city, the place of the many, many canals. It was very interesting to go to Delft and visit those two old churches there that go way back through the centuries. One’s called the Old Church, one’s called the New Church. They both looked old.

It was interesting to reflect there…. [The Lord said] to the boy prophet, “Having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof” (Joseph Smith—History 1:19). That’s exactly what I was thinking about as we were in those old churches—a form of godliness but no life in their worship. I know why the Lord restored this gospel in this great dispensation.
