stellati Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Seriously, our FHE and other activities are getting to be pretty repetetive. We need some suggestions, anybody got any ideas? Please keep in mind that my ward holds FHE on Sunday, which I think is weird. Oh well, what can ya do? Quote
mom_of_jcchlsm Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Mystery Lesson: The library needs to be open/available -- extra copies of conference Ensigns would be helpful. Prepare three jars/baskets in advance: 1 - slips of folded paper with lesson themes (faith through trials, temples, Jesus' earthly ministry, fasting, etc.); 2 - slips of folded paper with names of current or recent Prophets, Apostles or well-known General Authotities; 3 - slips of folded paper with sections of scripture (1 Nephi-Omni, Matt-John, D&C 50-90, etc.) Divide into groups. Each group draws three papers, one from each jar. Each group has 15 minutes to prepare a 5-minute lesson based on the theme, refrencing at least one scripture from the section they drew and quoting the GA they drew. Have each group present thier lesson to the others. hold a "scripture bee" - like a spelling bee, but you have to quote the verse that's given to you. Use scripture mastery verses. Quote
