What constitutes us worshiping a different Christ?

I have heard that some Christians believe that Mormons believe that we worship a different Christ. Why do they believe this and how would I be able to answer someone if they came up to me and told me that I believed in a different Jesus?

When I am told this, I do what you just did and ask them what they mean by "different Christ". Sometimes I'm in full or partial agreement with them (when they've done their homework and know what they're saying). But I always follow it up by asking if it's problematic and why. I find that's when the dialogue really starts.
