LollyPop Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Hey There, This message comes across the seas from so called "merry" England, United Kingdom. I've always seen the LDS.net pop up in google whenever I've been searching long and hard for specific insight on a topic, or when preparing a lesson; but I thought, "Why not join?" I'm always wanting to learn and develop further insight on the Church, and often this can come in the shape and form of other people. As a convert to the Church at the age of 13 years, I personally feel that I know very little when it comes to the Gospel, in terms of its principles and teachings. It has only really been since the age of 18, that I took a firm interest and grasp on my faith, and attempted to gain a testimony of it for myself. I won't and I can't state, that I have a testimony as of yet; it's a constant work in progress and I long for the day that I can say outloud the overwhelming truth that I behold in this Church. Not to say that I don't believe, or I don't believe, I just know that I haven't gained a full and honest testimony. I'm a terribly, cynical person - but that may have more to do with me being "British" than anything else!! I look forward to talking and discussing things at length with all of you :) Quote
Mahone Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Hi Lollypop, Which area of the UK? It would be nice to have a few more members from the UK on this board, we're vastly under represented Quote

LollyPop Posted May 14, 2011 Author Report Posted May 14, 2011 Ahhh Birmingham! I was meant to head up there last night for the YSA Dance, but being sick along with having to drive ridiculously far; it didn't seem like too good a combination! London is lovely, but it's getting more and more expensive, travel and living especially. If you can find somewhere cheap and convenient to live, it's fantastic :) Never say Never!! :) Quote

You have a testimony.Everyone can always work on their gospel knowledge. Some of it is trivial. Some of it is more basic. (The "magic" of the gospel is in the basics and the simplicity of them.)I'd recommend reading the Gospel Principles manual. There is no other manual that helps to simplify the gospel concepts into "bite-sized" pieces.Welcome to the forum! Quote
