Technically, every priesthood holder in the LDS church is a "layman".

Oh I thought that too. I just Know that one of them keeps trying to get the other killed off. So that came to my mind first

I think it must have something to do with his religious beliefs. Not sure if they have to let him keep it do to his beliefs or not though
