Blocky Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 I'm sorry you're in this club. But its nice to know others struggle with it too. The internet has saved my sanity. But... sometimes I wish it wasn't so easy because I tend to procrastinate and play online instead. This is how I am pretty much. There is so much good things I do online. We look up so many cool facts every day, I have fun games, keep in touch with family etc. But, then there is Plants Vs Zombies. Dang I love that game. I can just zone out... but that's not so great when there are other things that NEED to be done... Quote
Blocky Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 I quit my game, FFXI, mostly because we have a lot of house fixing to do this year and I dont want to get sidetracked. What autoimmune disease are you all referring to? Sounds like a lot of us belong to the chronic pain group. Computers are wonderful for us, arent they!I have Lupus. I have actually had a pretty easy time of it until after my 3rd baby was born. She's 16 months now and I'm just starting to feel like I'm coming out of this flare. I think the lack of sleep and anemia was just too much for me. Seems like lack of sleep is the main factor in how I feel. I try to get 9 hours to feel normal. Last night, baby was up 5 times (ear infection), 4 year old was up once sleep walking, 7 year old up twice (wet bed and leg cramps), husband up at 4:30 for work (where did I put the keys?) So, sleep... doesn't always happen. I get a lot of fatigue and arthritis and general body pain. This year we've been doing home school which has actually been awesome. I can do it sitting down and I feel so productive, plus we don't have to be out of the house with baby every day before 8, which is also nice because we only have one car right now. I feel like my house takes the biggest toll since I'm sick. The benefit of this though is that when I do feel better, I appreciate being able to clean more, and it's not so tedious. I'm also learning to really just enjoy the company of my family and not stress about what we're getting done. I'm greatful for a husband who is appreciative of what I am able to do but doesn't mind what I can't.... as long as making dinner stays a priority lol. Quote
ADoyle90815 Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 I go camping twice a year, and part of the trip for me is being able to unplug for the few days I'm outdoors. Quote
Mahonri Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 I sometimes spend weeks away from the Internet. It's a healthy thing to do. Quote
