Bini Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 I heard that I can get baby's finger prints done at the police station. Anyone know off the top of their heads, what age they do this and what papers I'll need to bring in, if any? The hospital never did her finger prints for any kind of documentation, that I recall, except for my baby's "baby book", which I requested. Thanks. Quote
Dravin Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 They make do it at home finger print kits, either independently or as part of larger kid ID kits. As far as having the police do it I imagine it varies by police department. I know (a quick Google search confirms) that some police departments do offer it but without knowing your jurisdictions I can't tell you if yours do. So if I were you I'd do a quick search online to see if they do it and if you can't find information either call them (make sure it's the non-emergency number) or email (if they have a public email addy) them. Bini Posted March 25, 2012 Author Report Posted March 25, 2012 Ah yes..Hadn't dawned on me that procedures may vary depending on location, etc. Thanks, I'll do a quick Google. Quote
Gwen Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Our community does a safety thing at the hospital every yr. All the emergency groups participate. They teach fire safety, bike safety, etc. The kids get to see the fire trucks, an ambulance, police car.... The police always do an id kit if you like, it has a picture and they do the current weight, finger prints, etc. It's nice to be able to just show up and get it updated. Quote
