I just got my books for Relief Society. So I'm wondering.. I *THINK* it's the same lessons across the board right? If that is the case, which book and lesson do I study for this Sunday? And how do the different books work? Which book, which week?

If one is talking about Gospel Doctrine the lessons are fairly uniform across the Church. Stakes do stake conference at different times though so you may find an area that is off a lesson or so compared to some other area. If we're talking about Priesthood or Relief Society (which you are), outside of the 2nd and 3rd Sunday, lessons aren't as uniform. To know what specific lesson is scheduled for each week you'll need to get a lesson schedule from the appropriate organization (since you are asking about Relief Society you'll need to ask that presidency and they should be able to point you to one). The general curriculum can be seen here: http://www.lds.org/bc/content/ldsorg/content/english/pdf/manual/09330_000_InstCurr2012sm.pdf?lang=eng

In case you didn't want to open the PDF a quick breakdown for Relief Society (also applies to Melchizedek Priesthood):

1st Sunday: The lesson is decided by the organization presidency, it comes from Church talks, the scriptures, and sometimes from various Church manuals.

2nd & 3rd Sundays: Teachings of Presidents of the Church: George Albert Smith

4th Sunday: General Conference talks which are selected by the Stake President or Bishop.

5th Sunday: The Bishopric determines the subject and form of this lesson (I've seen anything from Q and A sessions, discussion of food storage, to scripture or conference talk based lessons). In my experience Relief Society and Melchizedek Priesthood are often combined together for this lesson.
