carbon_green Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Hi, Can anyone advise on a good book or books to supplement my reading of the book of mormon? Preferably something from the online LDS store. It might give me a better understanding of what's going on. Thanks! Quote

skalenfehl Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Treasures from the Book of Mormon, volumes 1-4 by W. Cleon Skousen. Excellent workbooks/commentaries. Quote
livy111us Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 The absolute best commentary that I've ever read, and I've read A LOT of them, is by Brant Gardner. If you want to know what is going on from a spiritual, contextual, historical, archaeological, and geographical point of view, then this is the commentary for you. JessiePadGirl Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 Really helpful suggestions in this thread. As an investigator itching to be ready for baptism, I have been devouring The Book of Mormon. I felt like I needed to read it all once over and then delve even further into it. Thus far, my greatest progress is made when I listen along with the mp3 available on lds.org. Quote
