Bini Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Got to see ParaNorman this last weekend and enjoyed it. This is what RottenTomatoes says.My review. The 3D stop-motion animation is amazingly done, and it's the same group that made the hit Coraline, which is my favourite of their work. Anyway, ParaNorman has an interesting storyline that keeps you involved but isn't quite as captivating as it's predecessor. That said, the main character Norman is memorable, and so is his chubby red-headed sidekick. The movie is rated PG13 I think but there are some dark (possibly scary) scenes that may be a bit much for young kids, and there are some occasional innuendos but are likely only noticeable to adults. Definitely "cinema worthy", meaning, you don't need to wait until this hits Redbox to watch it. It's good enough to see NOW at the cinema. After I watched ParaNorman, I ended up watching Coraline (we got the Bluray) again - and wow - you have no idea of the craftsmanship and hours that goes into stop-motion puppeteering until you watch the "extras". I rate 3.5/4 out of 5 :] Quote
Guest Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Awesome review, Bini! I haven't seen that movie yet. We ended up watching Timothy Green again... Quote

skippy740 Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 I saw a controversial political movie over the weekend. I'd name it, but it would be against forum rules. I can't say I 'enjoyed' it, but found it to be quite interesting and educational. Quote
