My husband hasn't been a home teacher or had a calling for several years. He is going inactive. Is it wrong to let the High Priest group leader know he is available to home teach?

Nope, nothing wrong with him letting the HPGL know he's available to home teach or serve in some other capacity. You say he's going inactive, if you want to let the HPGL know I suggest you consider if it might upset your husband. You know your own situation best.

The high priests group leader should be aware of your husband's status and danger of going inactive. If he is not, you might want to consider letting him know.

I would ask the HPGL to have a PPI with your husband, during which his willingness to home teach can be discussed. In most places that I have seen, if someone is not a home teacher it is because they have either asked to not have the assignment, or leadership assumes that they are not willing/able to do it.

I wish I could say that after almost a year nothing has changed in my ward. My husband told

the Bishop he needed a calling and to be a HT. The Bishop said he felt the spirit. Bishop said he thought that was great. Nothing has been done .They have a lot of Elders and HP not assigned to home teach. I have never been in a ward like this one.
