drham3rd Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Having Cerebral Palsy, my childhood was one of being discriminated against so I can relate to feelings that arise when someone is "different" than you! I think most prejudice is actually a feeling of being uncomfortable around a person that is different than you! And prejudice is a learned behavior, thus we are seeing an overall reduction in the general population as each generation rejects the prejudices of the preceding generation! That is a good thing! pam Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 More times than I care to admit. Its one of my "short fuse" buttons. My best friends have always been minorities. Some of the best people I know are Muslim or African-american. It's one of my short fuse things as well. It's just something I can't tolerate. Quote
