Focusing on Christ sounds like a good idea. I was a bit disappointed at a testimony given at the adult session of stake conference I just came home from. The only mention of Christ was just before AMEN; but the church is true, the book of mormon is a good book, and we do have a prophet to lead and guide the church... just no mention of who's church it is or the central theme of the gospel.
