My journey so far

Hi everyone,

I was baptized in September last year. I have enjoyed my journey from then.

I would like to ask a few questions to the PRO over here. :)

1) I some times struggle with the language and dont fully grasp everything. I would like to know if there is any study guide which would help me.

2) I have not been able to go to the temple till now, when can i go?

3) Its hard to manage all the activities that take place, do you guys have a specific to do app you would recommend.

4) As my journey is just started , what are the things i should concentrate on.

I smiled at the specific to do app because there really does seem to be so much to do! My advice would be just take things a step a time and enjoy it. I'd recommend the institute manuels the book of mormon one, new and old testements etc they are great guides to have while you read the scriptures. These can be bought at the temple or your libraian at church might be able to get them for you or let you borrow them.

See if there is anyone going to the temple in your local ward and ask if you could go along too although you won't be able to go in just yet. It is lovely just to walk around the grounds and feel the spirit.

Don't worry too much about the language either. My husband is a convert. I remember about a year after his baptism he stood up and bore his testimony is sacrement meeting and said good morning brethren. I said sweetie do you realise brethren means the men and doesn't include the women. He he he. It doesn't matter really. Your learning and trying your best. The Lord loves your efforts and I love to hear about them. Keep being strong

Joining this chruch has been the best decision in my life.

A convert has to wait at least one year before they can receive their endowment. If you are nearing that mark, and feeling ready to go to the temple, make an appointment with your bishop. He will let you know what you need to do and help you to prepare (let you know when the temple prep class is, etc.). Before you receive your recommend, you will have an interview with him and with your stake president.

I even as a life long member of church I find that the only way to keep track of all the activities etc the church offers is to keep a diary to keep track of what you are doing and when - I was taught growing up that whatever was in the diary first was the thing I went to - so for example if I had a guide activity that had been in the diary for months and the church told of us an activity with 4 days notice then I would go to the guide one! Although church activities are important it is the only way to keep track and not end up stressed over lots of stuff being on the same day!

Once you have been in the church for 1 year you can go through the temple - I suggest preparing yourself now by studying temple related scriptures (look up the topical guide) and making sure you are on top of things like tithing.

I am very happy today because this is that day which I prayers all time to my God. This is very important day when awards are distribute to all business men. Today this ceremony when going to start and it is continue in evening so after of the day when prizes are distribute and suddenly owner of that organizer announced my name I really shocked to listen my name and I go on stage and get my award that I win in thousands of successful businessmen list. It is great time for me in my whole life I can’t forget it in my whole life.
