pam Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Richard G. Scott - Sunday am session Personal strength we can receive through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Fathers are responsible to provide protection to their families. Breaking a covenant with the Lord is never justified. The atonement of Jesus Christ brings personal strength to the lives of the children of God. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can become cleansed. Sometimes our choices leave us with long term consequences. Satan will try and use our memory of previous guilt to entice us back to the same actions. The Lord can make weak things become strong. Each of us in our lives have made poor choices. We are all in need of the atonement. Each of us need to repent. Many of us have allowed weaknesses to develop in our character. How do we build these eternal fortifications? 1. Complete and thorough repentance. Repentance is not punishment. It is a path to a glorious future. Make covenants and receive ordinances for yourself. Steadily and consistently work to do ordinances in the temple for your own family. Share the gospel with family and friends. Sharing these truths can bring enthusiasm in your life. Work hard in your callings. Don’t be a 15 minute home teacher. Give freely of your time and attention. Feel your life with service to other. As you do so, Satan’s temptations lose power in your life.
