I donno, the idea of people spying on eachother, regardless of its purpose or intent is still, I donno wrong... History doesn't exactly have a good track record when it tells people to do that to one another. Sort of causes more problems then it solves

on another note, does BYU only admit Mormons?

Hello Lakumi to clarify something's. The text from the link was written by a news journalist. Not a member of the LDS faith.

The thing that is inconsistent with me is that the media added and twisted the original message.

“The temptations of the Great War are many. The battles are real, and the strategies are clever. The enemy is cruel, ruthless, and relentless. We must not underestimate the danger. We must be vigilant… and valiant.”

This is from the mouth of president of BYUI Kim B Clark, former Harvard Dean of business an active member of the church that replaced former president now Apostle Elder David A. Bednar

Journalist: In other words, don’t masturbate. OKAY in your words not his..

Journalist: Confused? So are undergraduates at Brigham Young University’s satellite campus in Idaho. A motivational video released by the school’s Housing and Student Living office urges students to report friends, roommates, or themselves if they suspect that they are masturbating too much. Hoping to combat the “social stigma against those who speak up in the face of evil,” THEY TRY TO STAB THE CHURCHS DOCTRINE WITH THEIR OWN PHILOSOPHIES... the video urges BYU students to not leave the wounded on the masturbatory battlefield.

Please it was WOUNDED battlefield... Masturbatory, was never said or mentioned.

If anyone read just what the media said it will leave a sour taste in your mouth.

I watched that film without a worldly degrading...look at these narcs interpretation. It is whole rich and true. Lending a hand and encouraging someone to change and not act in degrading selfish acts. Absolutely I agree.

I don't like the word choice that the media uses like Turning them in beyond their free will or choice. In that video clip no one turned anyone in. It was about finding the courage to talk to someone you love, giving advice supporting them in seeking help and fixing the problem allowing the sinner to lead a happy and more purer way of life.

Forcing people by turning others in will in no way bring any effect on them, they have no desire to be better. It's interesting how "they" put it. Satans whole plan was to force us to turn ourselves in without any choice and be slaved to do right with no preservation of agency, or choice to choose. Sounds very similar.

Anyway everything the media had said is inconsistent with the teachings and fundamental principles of the church.

But I really like the talk and would like to read it! Does anyone know the title?!

Yeah of everyone was on the same page I can see how that would work. Everyone's goals are the same, though if it was a Mormon and an Athiest, that wouldn't go down well methinks... make a 'good' sitcom though

(if one can consider any sitcom good)
