Guest Yediyd Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 I love Acts chapter 6 and 7. Steven is my hero. He practically quoted the whole old testament to the Sanhedrin and stood fast in their face as they stoned him. Old Testament...Elisha...he followed Elijah faithfully, then did twice the miracles. He was a faithful, spirit filled man. Book of Mormon...Definitely Nephi...he was strong, faithful, and steadfast. Who are your favorites and why? Quote
Palerider Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 I was always impressed with Samuel the Lamanite and his courage.... Quote
Gabelma Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Old Testament: Esther - amazing lady put her life at rish for a whole nation New Testament: Peter - i just identify with his basic personality and can see me do a lot of the things he did Book of Mormon: Mormon - he brought Moroni up, abridged the plates and managed to be admired despite his beliefs Charley Quote

CaptainTux Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 OT-Gotta go with David. Despite a few errors in judgement, his life, his words, and his thoughts are fascinating. NT-Mary Magdeline. So much mystery, so much speculation, so many misnomers. Yet what you actually read of her is short and interesting enough as is. Mormon-Dunno...never read other than a passage or two. Quote
Newbert_Zero Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 In the story of the stripling warriors. Nope not the stripling warriors, nope not the mothers who taught there sons. But the fathers who dyed because they made a covenant of peace. I thought it was so touching that because they refused to fight there enemies were so touched they stopped fighting and some converted. Only a real man could go into a battle but to go into a battle and refuse to fight back takes the definition of a true man to a whole new level. Quote
