With the recent addition of another Canuck to the forum, I thought I'd share this.  IT'S JUST A JOKE>>>

Michael Baker was a very proud Canadian Citizen living near the southern border in the early days of Canada and the US.  Everything he did was all about the fact that he was a Canadian citizen.  And nothing made him happier than to greet another Canadian and rejoice that they shared the same flag.

One day the two countries decided they needed to set the borders and had a team of surveyors out to set out lines of demarcation.

News was sent around to all the citizens near the border.  Those in Michael's township saw the maps and other information that had been sent around.  They were shocked to find out that Michael's property was on the south side of the border.

Obviously he would be deeply disappointed.   But someone had to tell him.  So, Stephen Jensen, his best friend, drew the short straw and trudged over to his friend's house to break the news to him.

After some pleasantries, Stephen shared the disappointing news, " Michael, as you know these two countries have recently set the borders.  As it turns out, your property lies on the south of the border.  So you are no longer a Canadian.  You are now a citizen of the United States."

Michael gave a sigh of relief, "Oh!  Thank goodness!  These Canadian winters were killing me!"

Here's another for you:

"And God Created the heavens and the earth" The angels then looked upon what God created and saw this wonderful nation called Canada. It had an abundance of fresh water, vast farm lands, rich minerals, majestic mountains and few people to share such riches. Because of this they questioned God, "Why give so much to so few? Is this not unfair to the rest of the world?" To this God replied, "Just wait till you see the neighbors I give them."
