My son and daughter in law now have one too. The thing I think is fun about it is that you can get a wide range of vinyl from vintage to modern. My daughter has the coolest record of Elvis (she has very diverse musical taste). One of the songs was taped live and someone in the front row made him laugh so hard. He tried to recover but couldn't for a minute. I love hearing his laugh. Enjoy the record player! Did you know that Elvis was a wonderful, deeply spiritual man who absolutely loved the Church? I have high hopes that perhaps I may yet hear him sing... in the Celestial Kingdom! Edited January 19, 2017 by DoctorLemon Quote

After his death, someone gave it back to the Osmonds, and it had his notes and comments written in the margins. If only he'd had a little more time. Quote
Bad Karma Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 Vinyl is way cool! Does it make me a dork that I am hunting down albums by the Bee Gees? For one thing my wife totally likes the Bee Gees, for another, I think they sound better on LP. Quote

If you don't have a copy of "Pure Disco" or the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack hidden somewhere in your album collection, you haven't been living! On an unrelated note, I was listening today to "Groover's Paradise" by Doug Sahm on my ipod and thinking about how great it would have sounded on vinyl... Edited January 19, 2017 by DoctorLemon Quote
