I realized how much more reading I can do now that I'm using my commute time to help with my reading.  I finally got a bluetooth adapter for my car.  Now I can hear the narrators much more clearly than simply turning up the volume on my phone.

I can listen to scriptures in the morning and a fluff book on the way home.  The next day, I simply switch books and I don't have to remember where I left off because the app sets an automatic book mark wherever I stop.

Downside: No cross references and footnotes.

Also, it is difficult to find a free radio station in a city like Houston.

Interesting thing I found just recently.  I finished Moroni yesterday.  I started over again this morning.  But I forgot to skip over the intro stuff.  Having had Moroni fresh on my mind and then listening to the JS-H text on Moroni and the plates made the message really have some meaning.  I've always thought of Joseph as the one looking backward in history to the BoM peoples.  Today, I saw Moroni looking forward to Joseph for over 1000 years. I remembered Moroni saying

Quote

Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing.

I'd always thought of this as the Latter-Day Saints as a people.  And while I still believe that is true, I believe Moroni received visions of the coming forth of the BoM more than us as individuals.  It really put a new perspective on it.

Moroni looked forward to Joseph.  Joseph looked forward to our day.  We look forward to our future generations.  And finally, one generation will welcome the Lord and initiate the Millennium.  And we all look forward to meeting triumphant in the air before the pleasing bar of the Great Jehovah -- the Eternal Judge of both quick and dead.

I downloaded the BOM as MP3s and run them through my phones standard audio player to Bluetooth so it saves the spot.

Click "Download" on the right side of the screen and then select you format.

Edit: I realize I misread. You said you "don't have to remember" where you left off. I read it as you didn't remember where you left off. My bad.
