zil Posted September 13, 2017 Author Report Posted September 13, 2017 IMO, verse 14 tells us that doing good is the reward: Quote 14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again. ...and given that this chapter is all about the resurrection, IMO, these are the heavenly rewards we should expect - be merciful and you will become a merciful person, deal justly and you will become a just person, etc. Also, we can expect the Lord to be merciful with us, deal justly with us, etc. In short, we don't earn Reward B for Action A, we become Being A through Action A. mordorbund 1 Quote
