Gwen Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 it seems there is a desire to discuss the qualifications of parenthood. so i'm gonna start a new topic for that purpose. let's let this one be what it seems (in my opinion, let me know if i missed it susie) it was intended for to discuss the good things of motherhood. even the worst of mothers have done something right. :)http://www.ldstalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10437 Quote
Gwen Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 one thing i think is a core value of my life, something i like about myself anyway, i got from my mother. she taught through her actions that everyone is interesting and everyone has a story, most of which are facinating stories. she also taught that family is family is family. no matter what life choices they make they are your family and you should stand by them. not talking about not setting boundries or being honest with them when their choices are so out of line you or other ppl are in danger. set those boundries and be there as much as possible. standing by them when they need you the most. very very few actions deserve the action of abandoning your family. Alaskagain Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 My mom taught me that (among many many other things) just when you think you have it made, life will throw you curve ball. And just when you think all is lost, something good will happen. In other words: don't get cocky in success; and never, ever give up. Quote
